something not pictured but also very important (why did i choose these poses) is that Grace has a tattoo of the Petrova line on his inner right forearm that goes nearly to his bicep. less important but Rocky has the same thing carved into one of his legs, they match :)

Grace also fully stole all of Olesya's skirts that were on board and they're his now, he was a little hesitant about it at first but it pretty quickly dawned on him that gender meant nothing and nobody cared what he wore, plus they're comfortable and breezy. ergo, skirt time

so Grace can always have a piece of home with him. Grace's cane was made by Rocky (with design input from Adrian) and is mostly silver xenonite, but there are bells attached that act sort of as a 'look out, i'm approaching' beacon so he doesn't get run over by any large Eridians

Rocky's claw mark is still present! it stands out among the rest of the burns on purpose, Grace is very protective of it despite Armando trying to heal the scarring--it's the first and only time he touched Rocky without xenonite between them, it's special to him.

alright i slept for three hours so Grace time; firstly, his burns are more extensive than the movie and probably closer to the book's description? they're placed in such a way that Grace would've tried to hip-carry Rocky into his tunnels and subsequently burned his side, neck, and his palms

the gills! all of his gills are fully functional and he often uses them without thinking. i.e.; taking a shower, swimming, and they can pull air so when he's focused on eating he doesn't really need to take a break to breathe. the boy is hongry. Grace coming later i'm so tired lmao

because of the lack of any lips to keep food in. it's gums and teeth and mutated tissue all the way down on that side. there is also some pretty severe damage to the muscles of his eye on that side but his vision is...okay-ish, at least up close.

onto his TEETH- the mutated 'mouth' on the side of his face does open into his mouth proper, the only thing keeping it from being a gaping maw is a bit of tissue and muscle (orbicularis oris if you're nasty) at the side of his mouth. he *can* open the accessory mouth but it can't chew or eat-

i added that as a sort of padding for him, there is more in the arm near the end of the residual limb but the chamber itself is so if Simon needs to push something or lean on that arm it doesn't cause him any pain. it's made up of clear xenonite panels like Rocky's suit, just on a much smaller scale

i'm starting with Simon because i worked really hard on his prosthetic the main arm itself is made of patchwork xenonite and connects to his nerves via Science Magic (working on it, i'm not that smart) BUT--the key feature is the pressurized chamber at his bicep

PHM but Grace slid into a Homestuck phase while drifting in the Hail Mary pre-meeting Rocky and when their ships met, Grace was briefly convinced that he was going to meet like. Gamzee or something and was pleasantly surprised by Rocky. idk Stratt put everything on those drives, it's possible
