Remember when Democrats spoke like this? This is from FDR in his Dem nomination acceptance speech in 1936.

Pretty sure Putin thinks the "underlying cause of this crisis" is the continued independence of the Ukrainian state.

The President appears dysfunctional and needs to be returned to the autocrat store. I guess it's past the 30 day window, so we'll have to settle for store credit.

The thing I like about bank economists is that they don’t seem to be shying away from blaming all of this on the Whitehouse.

“ChatGPT if a petty functionary engages in diplomacy through single combat with a hostile actor with nuclear weapons, does that violate the Logan Act?” These are truly unserious people.

Scalia responds to the absurd conspiracy theory about ACB being a crypto-liberal. I swear to God right wingers are like, “Neil Armstrong backwards is ‘Gnorts, Mr Alien’ so the moon landing was faked.” And 30% of America buys it.

What happens when Fidesz loses next year and Magyar closes ranks with the EU? Will he just bounce around based on political alliance with Russia? Maybe cut to the chase and go to North Korea or Moscow?

This dude talks to us so much. Every day it's a 2 hr address to congress or some oval office announcement of something he will walk back in an hour. What ever happened to the strong and silent type or speak softly and carry a big stick? We elected a Yapper in Chief.

American Middle Class: Oh! Can we have a system that promotes economic prosperity and leads to unprecedented wealth in the western world?! The GOP: We have one of those at home. What we have at home:

I like how when Meloni does stuff the rest of the EU doesn’t like, they manage to find a picture that looks like a mugshot on France 24’s YouTube coverage. 🤣

Whether Elon Musk is an antisemite doesn't even matter. His real sin is normalizing the far right's speech. He is trying to push boundaries out of a sense of freedom of speech. The normal response is for those people to be shunned by civil society, but he would call that being "woke" probably.

I think the economy is objectively better and wages are outpacing inflation, but it isn't unreasonable to argue that price shocks (graph is for non-durable goods for PA) could make people feel poorer if they anchored on pre-pandemic prices and the growth was steep enough to make it hard to reanchor.
