And I just don't accept that logic anymore. It's just plain shitty behaviour! But it's downstream of the social media prime directive: if it feels good, post it. Like so much else political posting, it's about empty catharsis rather than achieving anything.

There's all sorts of excuses that are made for this kind of behaviour--I should know, I used to make them. Psychic wages of oppression; small account; pales in comparison to rich evil people; an unserious, unrealistic threat. But as I got older I just started asking, "why act like this at all?"
