Here’s an idea: anyone that wants to ban a book must read it, then go to a proctored session where they write an analytical essay about it (3 pages, single spaced), and answer a series of open response questions. All to prove that they can actually read & understand the book and why it’s so “evil”

If my taters are raw AND wriggling, I might need to call a HAZMAT team 😂

Lovely, big, golden chips with a nice piece of fried fish… Even YOU couldn’t say no to that!

Growing up with Lord of the Rings is like being the woman in a country song. Tolkien is the dad who set the bar impossibly high in the best way.

If you had to get ONE Tolkien tattoo - one iconic Tolkien visual or quote - what would it be? #tolkien #lotr #tattoos

I’m gonna be that guy… “the time that is given us” Tolkien used some tricksy old timey British phrasing 😅

You wake up next to any fictional character of your choice - who is it?

Wait but that’s the best argument besides “I’m a tax payer!” It’s ironclad.

Now let’s just say Gandalf was a news anchor.. what would some of his sign off’s be? I’ll start: - “and thats just the way the Balrog tumbles”… OR - “stay classy, Eriador”… AND FINALLY - “and remember: Keep it secret, keep it safe. Until next time” Whatcha got? #lordoftherings #lotr #tolkien

I tried to come up with a snappy joke type response… but I got nothing. That’s next level victim behavior combined with a hefty dose of bigotry.

For Frodo… but wait, have we considered reasoning with the army of Mordor? Sure, I may have lost my temper with the Mouth of Sauron, but what if we go back and try again? Maybe we can appeal to their shared humanity—or, uh, Orc-manity? Talking it through could save lives! No? Too late? Okay…

Why is it so fun and easy to troll people on 🧵s? People over here are a bit sharper witted than that right? Anyway, do you guys like the Peter Jackson remakes of Ralph Bakshi’s original Lord of the Rings movie? Someone turn that story into a book already 👀

Unpopular Opinion: Arrow a-Louis Vuitton was too harsh on Mel Corps. He was just trying to push the boundaries of music, and he gets attacked for his creative expression 😔 #Silmarillion #Tolkien #LotR

I can tell the X crowd has migrated to 🧵 for real Somehow got attacked for saying I support the use of “girl” as interchangeable with “dude” because I *checks notes* didn’t make it totally clear that I acknowledge the use of “dude” from one woman to another? My apologies for this malfeasance.

It’s this cool movie, kind of reminds me of Game of Thrones or Harry Potter. I think they based it on that new show Rings of Power
