I've thought about a flashback arc for Yohei in my serial, but I'm still way in the early stages! I think I would keep it the same tonally, YA science fantasy. It'd just try and to it in a way that would flesh out and add more context for her character. Thanks for doing these, it's fun to reflect!

Ithreniya and Vyxtarion's dialogues are both in italics, because they communicate psychically. Ithreniya speaks in sentence fragments. She usually communicates in feelings or actions. Vyxtarion is very formal and antiquated in his speech. He is the opposite of Ithreniya and loves to pontificate.

Yes, absolutely! I think that's part of the fun of writing anyway. Trying to really get in the heads of these characters and step outside of yourself as a person. Yohei can actually sound a bit more formal in her dialogue. Kimo uses a lot of newnet slang and is more casual.

Ooh that's fun. Yohei herself would be a Fighting type. She has two spiritual companions: Ithreniya would be Fire/Bug. Vyxtarion is Psychic. You could make the argument Yohei is Fighting/Psychic and I think that would be fair!

I thought about shopping around for commissions but I don't think that's in the cards. If I learn art, I can explore a new avenue of creativity, and develop a skill. But I know it will take time and energy.
