Something so offputting yet charming about this (but obviously in like a good way very /pos tone to me saying offputting)

These would be an excellent hairclip for a pony if any of them had tomato cutie marks (idk why that was my first thought lol)

I really particularly like both the prints because I’ve been loving how I draw Rarity lately (2/4)

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Rarity won the poll on Tumblr for favorite character so I added some fun trinkets based on her to my shop that I thought people might enjoy! Let me know what you would like in the shop (characters/ships/other fandoms/product types) I am still figuring out what people might like to see more of! (1/4)

omg wait I need her and I don’t even like squishmallows because I like my plushies sculpted and an actual form beyond marshmallow but it looks so soft and also Rarity is literally a marshmallow in my brain so this made my brain go OO

My favorite game! Guess the horsies! (Though I know you do more than horsies it’s a pretty reasonable guess that several of these are horsies)

What if I just draw nsfw Equestria Girls art but it’s Sunset operating a forklift without a license which is not a safe work environment? (this is in reference to a tumblr ask that claimed I make the human MLP characters too sexual somehow even though my work is all sfw)

SIGH my one disappointment but I am glad it’s looking good this is the one Marvel thing I need to all be good and I need WV to have a happy ending (at least this version idk if I’ll care if they get recast as much (maybe I will but idk) like this is the version I’m specifically attached to)

Wandavision is still my favorite both for obvious reasons of it is the most impactful queer media to me specifically and also I just think it’s a good show but man Wonder Man really is just a shame to lose.

Or in my experience elsewhere - people tend to pick and choose what gets seen in a bad or good light in iCarly depending on their perception of what he did and it colors the show in ways that I think aren’t always accurate or fair.

010

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

No I’m in agreement with you I’m saying that culturally that’s just going to be what everyone fixates on. It simply cannot shake off Dan - that’s why with episodes like these they receive a lot of doubt that he knew what he was doing when writing it and wasn’t just acting on cruelty alone.

210

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

It isn’t afraid of the messy and ugly parts of life and being a child where injustices will just happen and you can’t do shit about it but laugh. And that’s not /not/ true of iCarly but because Schneider sucks it paints that humor with a (not undeserved) irl ugliness it can never escape from.

000

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

It’s a complex minefield to walk BECAUSE Schneider is an actual real life abuser unfortunately. I do think you’re right that there is a certain humor to the dark comedy of shows where sometimes a good person will just suffer from bad things and it sucks - that’s somewhat the appeal of Nickelodeon

200

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Watching this video I’m like ‘damn this was an unpleasant episode and also, I have no doubt that was exactly the point and this wasn’t an accident from a cruel man who finds abuse funny but genuine commentary on his part… that happens to be from a cruel man who finds abuse funny’

010

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

It is so interesting to revisit iCarly as someone who watched day one and has grown up enough to see the ugly rot in it and many of the Schneiderverse shows in many ways but also remembers being there and has a lot of knowledge about it and a lot of nuanced takes about the show and its legacy.

120

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

And again - and this is not to take away from him being a bad person, disclaimer because I’m actually going to give him a rare good faith read - the episode probably ended the way it did because Lucas is a real life creator and he didn’t want him looking too bad at the end for an irl version of this

121

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

And was well aware of the culture in that way. I have no doubt this was actually intended on his part. Hell this would get expanded upon in iStart A Fan War and in that episode it’s clear the man gets it (which does not take away from his personal abuses nor his love for sadistic comedy)

110

CarouselUnique (Shop in Bio) @carouselunique.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

I mean… he /does/ find bullying funny and I don’t want to diminish that but I think people don’t give iCarly the credit of being intentional for any good things it probably did do intentionally because it gives Schneider credit but Schneider was more ‘online’ than many creators were at that point -
