The Angine de Poitrine phenomenon through 11yo eyes, late last night in Trois-Rivières, after he correctly convinced me it would be worth the wait.

Montreal bureaucracy at its finest: kids waiting since 8am to get on the ice for their much-anticipated annual outdoor game, because the city workers were over an hour late to clear the rink.

Disappointed young hockey players waiting for city workers to clear an outdoor rink for their planned special game.

Inspired ad by Montreal’s public transit agency. “Birds of a feather flock together”, but the illustration tells us “feather” isn’t “what we look like”, it’s actually shared values. #Advertising

Ad on a city bus that says “Qui se ressemble se rassemble” Loosely adapted in English as “Shared values are what bring us together.”

IDEA: Ask your library about their policy on AI-written books. I asked mine here in Quebec (@banq-officiel.bsky.social) and the short answer is that while they prioritize human writing, there's no definitive way to weed out AI.

Letter in French from Quebec's national library, the BaNQ, in response to a question on their policy on AI-written books.

l’importance et l’autorité de l’auteur, du créateur, de l’illustrateur, de l’éditeur, du producteur, de la collection;
l’exactitude des informations;
