Stop 4 is a first ever visit to Pomona Island Brewery's North Westward Ho. A large and impressive conversion to a pub. 4 cask lines (3 on) and a shedload of keg. On Monday afternoons cask is £3.50 a pint so a pint of their Cruffatin 4.1% bitter and a pork pie.

The Cloudwater brewery tour included 2 tasters direct from the tanks, one 7.x%. Back in the bar tasters of Kyema 7.2% raspberry sour and the new West Coast IPA Is Dead 7.x%,then I bought a (diecounted) third of The Joy of Living 11.5% choc orange impy stout. An arancini may have been involved.

Last time I was in Manchester I attempted to visit Balance Brewing but Google Maps kept getting me lost/leading me to dead ends and eventually I had to give up due to lack of time. Today, however, I'm there! Half of their Saison De Maison 5.5%. Excellent.
