We had to say goodbye to Omar today. I hope his four months with us were filled with joy. Our vet gave him yummy treats and led him to the Rainbow Bridge. He had severe heart disease.

Funny thing. Another volunteer wanted her, so I took home Blueberry Pancake, now Omar. He’s 15, bone thin and also has arthritis. He’s settling in. So far so good.

Animal shelters everywhere are filled beyond capacity. If you can foster, even temporarily, you will save a life. Animals get stressed in shelters making them unadoptable and likely to be euthanized. Give them a chance.
