I am still in mourning for my fur babies some 12 months later. And sorry I don't want to make it about them but feel your pain and loss because nothing can replace the love you get from a dog. No one else loves you like a dog. Hope you will be ok.

I love living in a country where voting is compulsory and voting is on a non-work day. So on a Saturday I go to vote - all I need to do is to get my name crossed off the electoral roll to say I turned up. If I want too I can throw my my ballots in the bin.

I am back from visitng Auschwitz. Peole are forgetting that anti-semitism led to extreme acts against jewish people. I do not condone the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza but I do not blame every jewish person for what is happening.

Nope all hay when there is no grass in the paddock. Every year two paddocks get shut down to harvest hay. And I am an ex city girl who lives and watches a farm in action. Not perfect but this is what I see.

I have spent several hours today getting my healthcare sorted out before I go on a holiday. Covid done, flue done, shingles can wait but my hepatitis vaccine status needs to be checked. Glad I grew up in the 60s when we got why vaccines are so important. It cost me $130 and I will get $80 back.

This is the shitty thing about history - it is usually in the short term written by the victor. Over time things adjust which is why so many of us visit Hiroshima and wonder about man's inhumanity. I am visiting Auschwitz in May and I still hate Netanyahu for what he is doing to Palestine.

Australia has got its own elections coming up and I am rusted on to one party but I think the electorate is going to have to choose between a rock and a hard place. I think America voted for razzle dazzle over same old same. I would have preferred same old same.
