Huge thank you to the Basser Center for BRCA @penncancer.bsky.social for selecting our lab for the Pearl & Philip Basser Innovation Research Award and the Young Investigator Award! We hope our work will help bring us closer to being able to stop cancer at the earliest point possible.

I’m deeply honored to be selected by @theaacr.bsky.social for the Gertrude B. Elion Cancer Research Award! This means a lot to our lab. We are proud to be part of @pennmedicine.bsky.social, @penncancer.bsky.social, Penn Cancer Bio, and the Basser Center to study cancer interception opportunities!

Isabella nailed our lab’s debut at the Friday Comet seminar. We celebrated with these gorgeous raspberry dark chocolate cupcakes—handcrafted by Isabella herself!

Thank you Andrew Olander and Shaheen @ssikandar.bsky.social for inviting me to visit the MCD Biology Department at @ucsantacruz.bsky.social! I love the insightful comments at my talk and the engaging conversations throughout. Hopefully I can come back, and maybe even get to see a real banana slug!

We celebrated our lab’s two grant submissions with a little dessert expedition to a culinary school at West Philly! It was so good :-) Special thanks to our lab neighbor Genova for the selfie!

Our lab welcomed Isabella Cagno earlier this month. She hit the ground running, and we had a great time at the @upenn.bsky.social Cancer Biology annual retreat at beautiful Skytop, PA!
