The latest Wilco Front of House recording is a nice encapsulation of the band with whom I fell in love back in the late '90s. Madison 11/16/2000 is HEAVY on Mermaid Avenue and Summerteeth material. It is also one of the cleanest recordings I have heard from that era.

I read "Will Oldham on Bonnie 'Prince' Billy" by Alan Lichte on and off over the past few weeks and it is a bit like the Bonnie Prince's discography. Some sections were worthwhile/wonderful with some sections repetitive/inessential. It was basically as described: a 400-page interview.

4/6/89 was released in Dead Drops today and either the mic shorted out, or Jerry just forgot the lyrics. In fact it sort of sounds like mumbling at some points, so the latter is probably more accurate. This show is sort of lacking, at least six songs in - it's a real mixed bag.
