When I went to Japan, I was amazed by the thoughtful, intentional design of everything. I spent more than I’ve ever spent on a book as a result, Kenya Hara’s Designing Design (and a second book, but that was more affordable). In the US, well…

The Argentinian strategy of coming from behind in the last minutes of a match has been insane in this World Cup. Instead of an Euro 2024 rematch, we might be getting the Finalissima we never got. España vs Argentina This is the match I wanted to see once semis were set.

Has the real Argentina finally shown up to this tournament?

Spain are World Champions! Oh, there is still a couple of matches. Almost forgot.

If tonight does not hold any surprises, our semifinals will be: France vs Spain to determine the World Cup Champion. England vs Argentina And Referees to decide to the runner-up.

Germany qualified to the next round. Curaçao miraculously held off Ecuador to a draw and what is so far my favorite match of the tournament. Japan whipped Tunisia and is demonstrating their growth in the sport, one I have no reason to believe won’t then into a semi or final finish. Great Matchday

5 World Cup matches today. It will be exhausting and I love it.

(1/3) My new pet peeve is ppl on LinkedIn trying to sound clever by pointing out issues of popular games to impress a need for better testing or design. As if QA and the rest of the dev team aren’t fully aware of it and just needed the Open for Work Tony Stark to figure it out.

“How do you relax when taking small breaks from work and life’s shit?” 8 and 16-bit era games, arcade games, point-and-click games… and horror. So relaxing.

What we’re working on. ❤️ Elated to work on one of my favorite franchises, its first entry releasing around the same time I started learning how to make videogames. #gamedev #videogames

In Venezuela, our Blockbuster Video was Video Color Yamin. My dad would take me some/every(?) weekend to rent a game. I recall renting Sonic Blast Man and really enjoying it. Many people associate the SNES with JRPGs. To me, it was the console of action, fighting, and beat ‘em up #videogames.

Well, I did not expect a narrative that touches on the reduce-cost-at-the-cost-of-soul mindset of some of our simpleton tech overlords in The Devil Wears Prada 2… but I’ll take it.

Game development is hard, and self-inflicting long hours each week can be taxing. Balance it with time away from work by working out, spending some time with loved ones… and playing more videogames, I guess. #gamedev #videogames

Checking out Anthem before it disappears, and damn, would I have played the shit out of a single-player action RPG version of this. Unreal. The controls are tight and it’s immediately fun and intuitive to take off and fly around. Hoping the Iron Man team took notes. #videogames

I accidentally just learned in Mega Man X, you can add to the counter for getting the Hadouken capsule without all the requirements, then go and complete the requirements, come back to the Armored Armadillo stage and the capsule will be there (assuming full health). #videogames

Surprised at all the ports! But, it’s oddly missing the PS1 port of MK3, a more faithful port of the arcade than the 16-bit versions (just don’t transform into Shang Tsung, unless you need a bathroom break). The MK4 PS1 and N64 ports are also missing. Still, this collection looks 😍. #videogames

Props to Expedition 33 for causing me to tear up in such a short time in its opening, even amidst my being distracted by some minor technical limitations. It’s been forever, but I recall FFX giving me a similar impact early on, though Expedition built up to it quite well.
