Our next AI mini-course is coming up in a couple of days and this free course still has registration space open!

This micro-course helps students of all levels create their own “Personal Mark Up Language” and research management style—a system of annotations, call-outs, and organizational strategies that reflect how they engage with research materials. Students will learn how to interact with texts and develop a research workflow using tools like Zotero, spreadsheets, and tagging systems.

Later this month, Carleton University will be hosting the annual three-day Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC) of approximately 350 students from across Ontario. One of the main events of this competition will be held on Friday, January 23 from 2:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on the 4th floor of the Library.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, we're open 24 hours. Friday we close at midnight. Saturday we are open 10 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday we open at 10 a.m. to do it all over again. A note that only floors 1 and 2 are open after 10 p.m. and only floor 1 is open from midnight to 7:30 a.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, we're open 24 hours.
Friday we close at midnight.

New to the rare book collection this year is The Journals of Susanna Moodie by Margaret Atwood. A rare, boxed folio, this work is a limited-edition manuscript printed in 1980 and is 1 of 120 copies. This work of poetry is typeset with original serigraphs and is printed on handmade rag paper.

Carleton’s updated Chosen Name process is now available to all staff and faculty via Carleton Central. This new approach improves how chosen first names are managed and displayed, allowing individuals to specify their chosen first name for use across university systems and communications platforms.
