“Intersex” is the “I” in LGBTQIA. Learned a lot, watching this.

Not only is she damn near saying he raped her, the first thing Dani did when Hayley walked in on her w/Bill (why was she there again???) was taunt Hayley re: her sexual prowess over Bill. We know she hates Hayley but was she not JUST telling him not to go there? It’s ridiculous. #beyondthegates #btg

Why in the world is Nicole wearing lace pants at work? Are dress codes or even simple decorum no longer a thing? #beyondthegates #btg

It’s very strange. They've acknowledged that the whole Bill/Dani storyline pivoted because of the fans. Joey even makes a crack about Reddit in one of the episodes. But with Kat it’s as though they come check out what the majority of fans are wanting and do the opposite. #beyondthegates #btg

I was looking forward to start using my walking pad while watching the daily episode but yesterday was so slow I made it all of 10 minutes. There’s been many a time when I paused to see how much was left & wasn’t even halfway through. It’s just not an exciting show. There’s no drama. #beyondthegates

It passed just above Gentilly, it seems, through City Park and Lakeview then out over Pontchartrain.

Even if there was theft, a pack of diapers in no way merits gunfire to recover it. This is appalling on so many levels I can’t even begin to calculate.

Oh, I love this house! If I won the lottery I’d pour a substantial amount of money into buying and restoring this beauty.

No, there are scenes where Eva asks to or agrees to reach out to Kat when Kat is minding her own business. Eva and Ted can do whatever they want but they kept trying to force Kat into the mix for their comfort, not hers. #beyondthegates #btg

Regarding Tomas, yes Eva and Tomas had genuine feelings but he’s not the only man in Fairmount Crest. She could have just remained friends with him but she got with him during a one week break. That’s practically pouncing. #beyondthegates #btg

I get what you're saying but there are so many instances of Eva re-inserting herself into Kat’s life, particularly via Ted; she knows the woman despises her, so in my opinion she’s the one who keeps poking the bear and indeed has not moved on to just live her life. #beyondthegates #btg

Their paranoia around that incident is more appropriate to the 1960s than the 2020s, especially had it come out during the 2 minutes everyone was supporting #blacklivesmatter. It might have made Martin a hero & canonized Vernon. I think there’s more to that story than they’ve said. #beyondthegates

No one on the show is more doted on than Martin. He does exactly what he wants and continues to lie to Smitty whenever it suits him after nearly losing him. Vernon got in bed with Joey Armstrong to protect him & is still calling in favors for him to have the career he wants. #beyondthegates #btg

Didn’t they all find out last season? I know Nicole did and I could have sworn Naomi, too, so if she did then Kat must have. #beyondthegates #btg

We all know it’s the moral thing to do to save another human’s life if you’re able, but imagine you were a match for a violent racist, someone who would no sooner save you than look at you. Is it immoral to not help them? Eva’s not just not her friend, she’s truly Kat's enemy. #beyondthegates #btg

She slept with Kat’s boyfriend—I’d call that undermining her relationship—after successfully conspiring with her mother to destroy Kat’s family. Their feelings don’t have to be mutual but it isn’t as though Kat’s aren't certainly justified. #beyondthegates #btg

Martin, like Nicole, is not a good person. He’ll let any cruelty come out of his mouth toward Kat, but the child that was coddled—and is still coddled—in that family was him. He does exactly what he wants and because he’s carrying on the family “legacy” he gets a perpetual pass. #Beyondthegates #btg

Yup. Between this & her literal crimes, Leslie was initially written as irredeemable, but since she’s clearly never going to have any reckoning for any of that, the writers are now trying to humanize her. Aside from a few Leslie diehards I don’t see it happening. #beyondthegates

Just finished reading @hughryan.bsky.social's new memoir, My Bad: A Personal History of the Queer Nineties and Beyond. It is as excellent & more than I expected it to be. Is it weird to have a favorite historian? Ready to pass it on but don’t want to let it go. bookshop.org/p/books/my-b...

I was all disappointed to lose my Paramount hookup today of all days, but given what I’m reading here I’m not gonna bother to seek out an alternative. I don’t want to watch these developing storylines with Dani/Andre/Bill/Ashley. This isn’t entertaining to me. I’m out. #btg #beyondthegates

She never dealt with her divorce. They’ve given Ashley more screen time crying over Derek than they gave Nicole to mourn the destruction of her 30+ year marriage. #BeyondtheGates #btg

A soror…somebody. The white women's screen time is increasing every week, and Vanessa is consistently costumed in the most expensive wardrobe. I don’t like it. #BeyondtheGates #btg

Why would Nicole tell Shanice that Martin's fundraiser wouldn’t be the same without her there?? That doesn’t even make sense. #BeyondtheGates #btg

Well, Mona was never going to raise enough money for building renovations by standing around Orphey Gene’s with some flyers and crudités. Also, since, when does a restaurant set up complimentary food for an outside fundraiser during business hours? #beyondthegates #btg

Which could be interesting in and of itself—an accomplished, happy woman falling under the sway of a charismatic man and dangerously losing herself. But this just isn’t giving that because we never got to see her being anything else. #beyondthegates #btg

First time since this show started I just couldn’t take the sounds of Jacob’s & Ashley’s bad-acting voices & fast-forwarded through all their scenes. When the Paramount+ subscription runs out in a couple of weeks, I think I’m done. This show could have been so much more. #BeyondTheGates #BTG
