According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) of Costa Rica, last November has been one of the rainiest in the history of Costa Rica's meteorological record. We can see the precipitation anomalies in the map for November 2024. Some regions had over 400% of precipitation in the month!

It is always a joy to be able to present your research to new eyes. This is me in two different settings; the poster was presented at AGU in 2021, and the talk was at UF's Water Institute Symposium in 2018. #academia #phd #phdlife #conference #symposium #water #science #extremeclimate
