What is Microcephaly? In plain language: a condition where a baby is born with a smaller than expected head because the brain hasn't fully developed. Cause: infections during pregnancy, genetics, malnutrition, or unknown. Common? Approximately 1 in 800 births globally. Higher in Africa.
