Overall this season was a flat line for Welsh club rugby attendances. 248,993 attended games this season - only slightly up from 247,462 last season. Use the link below to see data by country (of course Sco, Ire & potentially SA figures are incomplete). www.cardiffrfcfans.com/analysis/486... 5/6

Similar to the Dragons, Cardiff also saw a slight increase in average attendance in 2025-6 - up to 8770 ... a number only bettered twice in the last 14 seasons. 96,472 attended games at CAP this season. 4/6

The one piece of bad news is that the constant decline in support for the Ospreys is continuing. 2025-6 saw the average dip below 5000 - only their inaugural season saw a lower average gate. Since 2007-8, average attendance has halved & only 54,020 watched the Ospreys at home this season. 3/6

2024-5 saw the Scarlets lowest average attendance in 20 years. But this season - despite another run of poor results - average attendance increased to 7135. Overall attendance increased from 73,335 to 78,481. 2/6

With the club season now over in Wales, time to take a look at attendance figures. And the news is mixed. Despite another poor season on the pitch, shoots of recovery saw a slight increase in average attendance at Rodney Parade (up to 5822 from 5769 last season) 1/6

The Stormers had too much power for Cardiff in their quarter final. And the home club had a second reason to be happy - the gate was the highest for a non-SA opponent for three years, since Munster visited in 2023.

This season's URC QF were the most one-sided in the history of Celtic Rugby 2026: cum 115 pts diff 2025: 39pts 2024: 63 2023: 16 2022: 95 Top 8 play offs have no meaning. Why not make it Top 4 and play home & away? Or just increase the fixture list so we have a full home vs away for all teams?

Today was Moana Pasifika's last game - the 2nd club team in 2 years to disappear from Super Rugby. Our thoughts go out to all those involved. Rugby must take steps to rebalance the club & international game. Without an independent pathway for young professional athletes, the sport will die.

Since 2003, There have been 19 URC Quarter Finals ... only two have seen away wins (11%). And there have been 50 URC knock out fixtures (QF+SF), with 8 away wins (16%) so yeh .... there's not much hope.

Using our spread (5 or 6 points per measurement range), this season's Super Rugby is indeed the most "equitable" for about 10 seasons, but that's just brought it into line with the other major competitions. Using our measures, MLT has the fewest blow outs. www.cardiffrfcfans.com/analysis/604...

Analysing refs is as important as analysing the opposition. Amongst the 23 active referees in the URC at the moment, nobody allows fewer turnovers per game than Hollie Davidson. So teams must adjust. Competing at the ruck is only going to cost you penalties. www.cardiffrfcfans.com/analysis/473...
