October 1, 2008 I started posting my then meager collection of a few dozen postcards and magazines I bought at antique stores. This postcard of 3-Penny Inn in Bowling Green, Kentucky, (featuring a very short-lived Howard Johnson budget motel concept) was the first thing I ever posted.

Found these slides from my collection that I scanned back on November 3, 2009. I think these were taken in January, 1956 based on the calendar in the background of the first image. Location unknown.

One of the random subsections of my collection is Sunday School guilt trip postcards from 1910ish to the 1970s. These were postcards sent out to kids (and their parents) who missed Sunday School at their local church.

One of these days I'm going to get back to scanning my collection of CB radio QSL cards. If you and I connected on CB radio we would get each other's address and send a QSL card as a souvenir of our interaction.

Went through my collection of old roller skate skate labels and scanned/rescanned them all. I did not realize that I had amassed 182 different ones. The original purpose of these things was to affix them to your roller skate case and showcase all the different places you skated.
