Not sure "voting in the lesser evil for a couple years" has ever held republicans responsible for anything

Are you under the impression that people either have perfect sight or no sight at all?

Weird, why havent you included the dates? That big green peak there, who was leader of the greens then?

837 Israeli civilians died on Oct 7th. Since then on average, Israel has killed 837 Palestinians every 13 days. Weird how we don't hear about how Israeli's, Zionists and other genocide supporters shouldn't have to STFU every 13 days

I've seen this movie before, it's "friends from Hamas" all over again. I wonder if everyone will be fooled the same again by an obvious smear campaign? They can't attack the motion itself, so just attack the people behind it. Works a treat every time They must be rattled, the curtain is falling

Good, it's about time the greens stopped gifting labour votes during GE's

Alright but the actual truth of the matter is that even if you add up all the smokers and vapers (remembering there is significant overlap) and compare it to, say, how many people smoked 30 years ago? There are STILL fewer today. The headline implies the opposite of the truth.

Who gives a fuck about the people who didn't vote? They don't care enough to vote why should any mind be given to their speculative opinion? Of the people who did care enough to vote, they had a majority, that's how it passed :) do you need that explaining more?

ANOTHER article from the guardian solely focusing on the negative reaction. Weird how there's yet to be any significant reporting on those that voted for it and their reasoning, or reaction to this criticism, despite them being *the majority*

A further point about the greens Zionism motion and "Butbutbut people will keep bringing it up 😢" critique - NYC has triple the number of Jewish people than the UK, and it just elected a Muslim, openly anti-zionist AND anti-Israel (as it is now) Mayor who dealt with this exact thing. COPY HIM

CarbonArk @carbonark.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Her two points are "This implies that those who belong to pro-zionist groups/synagogues are racist" It does, accurately And "All Jewish members will be targeted as Zionists" A standard Israeli tactic of falsely conflating all Jews with Zionism/Israel. This is not true. Shes just outing herself

CarbonArk @carbonark.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Another win for balanced journalism eh Guardian? This motion was supported by a majority of those voting and yet the article only sought the opinion of those who oppose it. Multiple people. Not even a single paragraph for any of that criticism to be addressed.

-because you, rightly, don't give a fuck if you lose the transphobe vote, but are PATHETICALLY hoping to keep the Zionist vote maybe? Much like Labour pandering to the right, seems even the greens aren't immune to pandering to evil too. Find your spines, this was NEVER going to be easy.

CarbonArk @carbonark.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
-- I don't remember there being this discussion when, equally rightly, it came to define trans women as women. And just like with trans people your enemies will seek to make it about definitions "what is a woman" and all that bs. Why are you capable of dealing with that, but not this? Oh wait is it-

I sincerely hope that the Green leadership MP's take this as a sign to stop finally being cowards on this issue. Your party doesn't want wishy washy, now is the time to have a spine. As for the "but there will be endless arguments about definitions" POV - more cowardice dictated by your enemies --

I don't watch F1 but my parents do so I still catch it, and one of the reasons I don't watch F1 is that it is filmed in the least exciting way possible. These cars are taking sharp corners at 100 fucking MPH and yet on screen it looks no more than 30. They need to start filming it like a movie

Coward. Any group having a stated goal of requiring a religious ethnostate where that group *has* to be in charge and it *has* to be in a specific place regardless of who already live there? Calling it racist is generous. Sorry that pointing that out would be too much effort for you I guess?

Everyone, apparently, though it's fun watching the liberals in the comments losing their shit because their chosen "I'm not right wing, honest" politicians keep losing to the people he endorses, and their "only antisemites hate Israel" schtick is wearing thin.

I mean she's not wrong, but is also spineless and will do nothing but nip at the heels of the policy and fall into line when the time comes. Labour is a lost cause if you want anything other than "conservatism, but slower"

When was the last time you even HEARD of a 40 year old CEO? That wasn't even noteworthy in the 70s. Spending 20 years at a company and ending up in a senior position was just kind of a regular career trajectory 50 years ago. Now? Ha. You could work hard for 2 years and not even get a pay rise

Now I'm not saying it's not possible to work from the bottom rung to the top today. But zero qualification burger flipper to VP of operations of a rapidly expanding restaurant, in two years? What an alien place the past is. Took him 17 years to go from grill to C-E-FUCKING-O

Nothing encapsulates the changes to the job market over the last century than the story of Fred Turner, ex-CEO of McDonalds In 1956 he was 23 years old, fresh out of the army and got a job as a grill operator at a burger joint. By 1958 he was OPERATIONS VICE PRESIDENT OF A 34 RESTAURANT BUSINESS

I really hope this isn't actually their plans for the universal theme park. Beyond even more fucking HP shit (like their massive WB studio tour isn't enough), who curated this? WATERWORLD????? It's bizarre they still have that at existing parks let alone one they're building new

Really glad the UK chose my adulthood to have what will amount to a 30 year fuckup. If I'd been younger, at least I'd have my latter years to recoup. If I'd been older, I'd have spent my youth enjoying the benefits. But no,30-60 absolutely fucked

This is actually quite good in terms of keeping the self-declared right wing out of power (Labour are right leaning too but pretend they're not) A split right wing vote is a dead one in FPTP.

I wonder what timeline we will end up in - Ed Sheeran finds a spine and goes "I'm already a multimillionaire, I can probably afford to lose all my pro-genocide fans" OR Sheeran on stage with Tommy-ten-names ukulele rapping about the importance of funding Israel's iron dome
