Hourly Comic Day 2026 :: Disabled (1/4) #art . #comics
Two panels of a comic.

Panel 1: Some papers with comics are spread on a table with a pencil. Captioned, "Sunday, February 8th, 2026 was Hourly Comic Day. Usually I love to participate every year. I did not this year. Not because I was busy.

Panel 2: Captioned, "But because instead I was doing this. Just... resting (and thinking). There is a figure laying in a bed surrounded by cozy blankets and pillows.Three panels of a comic.

Panel 1: A hand with a watch reaches out but it has been drawn to look wiggly and bendy. Caption, "Last year, I finally got my physical disability diagnosis. I have Elhers-Danlos Syndrome (the hyper-mobile type). It is an incurable genetic condition (we jokingly call it bendy bones disease)."

Panel 2: Caption, "My entire life I have always been in pain and had lessened physical ability and stamina." A figure of a child is saying "ow" next to a figure of an adult saying "ow."

Panel 3: Caption, "The road to my diagnosis was very long and had very many stop blocks, but finally I made it." An arm is holding out a paper that says "answers" and the artist is floating towards it with wide, sparkly eyes as they wiggle their arms desperately.

Hourly Comics Day 2026 :: Disabled (2/4) #art . #comics
The artist sits with a solemn expression as they hold the paper that says "answers." The caption reads, "But answers are not a cure. I'm still in pain every single day."The artist still sits disappointed but has been drawn a little smaller. Caption, "I'm also struggling with intense burnout right now. I've been trying to run my own art business for almost a decade. I've had lots of growth and some success - not anywhere enough to live or support me."The artist is even smaller now. Caption, "Several years ago, we were homeless. It was a stressful time I've never had a break to recover from. I've been in non-stop grind mode every since to try and better our living situation."The artist is drawn so small you can barely see the paper. Caption, "I found us a place to live. Sold a bunch of small things. Sold our only assets. I got a part-time job. I signed up for food assistance. I got us a cheaper place to live. I saved a little money. I had surgeries and used all of those savings. All of these things happened while I barely managed my disabilities and attempted to run my business."

Hourly Comics Day 2026 :: Disabled (3/4) #art . #comics
"Things are so much better than they were before. All of our bills get paid every month and we have our last big expense from when we were homeless almost paid off. But I'm still not better." The artist is drawn very tiny.The artist is drawn so small that they are difficult to see. Caption, "My part-time job pays some bills, but puts me in debilitating pain. The multiple mental illnesses plus the burnout make it difficult to accomplish any art or personal task. I've been struggling to get things done. For so long, the only way things would change is if I made it happen. My instincts keep saying if I 'just push through the pain' that I can get more done. A response question haunts me."The question, "But can you actually?" has appeared in such huge, strong letters that the power of the phrase has knocked the artist over.

Hourly Comics Day 2026 :: Disabled (4/4) #art . #comics
The artist lays flat on their back with a tired expression and the answers paper beside them. Caption, "One of the key parts of my new intensive physical therapy program is to find what my limits are. Thanks to our hyper capitalist culture in America, I'm having a difficult time with shedding my internalized ableism and accepting that my limits are very low."The artist has forced themself to sit back up. Caption, "Even though answers are not a cure, they have led to something else: treatment. I am so incredibly lucky to have a team of mental and physical therapists trying to help me manage my multiple conditions."Caption, "I actually have a support network now. Several friends and colleagues that understand the struggle, and confused but supportive family. I also have two wonderful partners that are more caring than I thought possible."

The artist is holding two orbs in their hands that are radiating energy and have rough portraits of two different people inside. One person orb is saying, "You definitely do enough." The other one says, "You work yourself way too hard!" The artist is blushing from the encouragement.The artist is now sketching in a sketchbook that is on a lap desk. The artist themself is propped up on a bunch of pillows and other supports. Caption, "On top of everything, the increasing political instability makes it difficult to do anything - but I will not let them win. I'm going to keep creating. I'm going to keep resting. I hope we call can find peace soon. The first person I'm helping this time is me."

Roots [2016] #ink on paper // #art // #comics
A three-panel comic about identity.

First panel: A blank blob shaped person stands starkly outlined between two map cutouts of Mexico and Korea. The text reads, "The older I get, the farther I feel from my heritage..."

Second panel: Two hands are held up with palms facing up as the color is draining out of the hands from the fingertips. The text reads, "It feels like I'm disappearing. Some weird form of self-gentrification - or something like it."

Third panel: A small tree sits in a clay pot. The text reads, "I'm a tree in a planter. My roots are here - but they can't touch the soil."

Episode Heresy has had a lot of twists and turns... #destinyart . #destiny2art . #art . #comic
A small comic about Destiny 2: Episode Heresy. The top panel says "The Romantic Tension I was Expecting." The panel features Drifter clasping Eris's hands and touching her face while saying "I thought you were dead!" She is smiling at him and replies, "I know. You're dumb."
The bottom panel is labeled "The Sexual Tension I Was Not Expecting." The Echo of Navigation is floating behind the Guardian saying, "You look so good sitting on my throne... I think you lust for it." The Guardian is cartoonishly sweating and blushing in response to the flirting.

Happy #makeaterriblecomicday !
A comic of a person trying to buy gluten free toothpaste. They are disappointed about the options available. The first one is "Exactly what you want... But no fluoride." The second is called "The Nothing" and boasts having nothing. The third is called "Magic Teeth" and says "We know you think sunscreen is poison, so our toothpaste is made of sparkles, love, and magic!" The last toothpaste is just sand, literally.
