Cara Guri @caraguri.bsky.social · 08/09/2026In-progress shot of my painting "Brink". Bubbles are fascinating to paint both because of the panoply of colours they contain and the fact that they are to me a spherical symbol of our fragile world. #painting #oilpainting #art #contemporaryart #visualart #artwork #artist #contemporarypainting 080
Cara Guri @caraguri.bsky.social · 04/09/2026One of the fun parts of painting from real life objects is that sometimes when I am working I end up partially matching my paintings. When I create self-portraits, I will occasionally wear the clothing I am drawing inspiration from while intermittently observing it in a full length mirror. 021

Cara Guri @caraguri.bsky.social · 26/03/2026A painting in progress from the studio. I love painting hands because of the stories they tell about the subject. Every line, freckle, curve and colour shift are like traces of personal history. #painting #oilpainting #art #painter #artist #artiststudio #workinprogress #contemporaryart 0160
