woah I remember a 2 second exposure but I didn't realise it came out this good. f1/8, 3200iso, 2sec shutter speed.

2 second exposure of the inside of a pinhole projector. Visible on the cardboard is an upside-down image of trees, the sun and clouds. Possibly me too, can't quite tell.

Capy @capydeev.neocities.org · 12/08/2026

Typical. Once in a lifetime...

The sun, now hidden by the one bank of cloud in the sky, during the one eclipse visible here until like 2090.

Capy @capydeev.neocities.org · 12/08/2026

Holy crap I can make out the clouds on the cardboard inside this projector! Really had to mess around with the ISO and shutter speeds on the phone for this.

Sun and clouds projected onto cardboard through a pinhole.

Capy @capydeev.neocities.org · 12/08/2026

Trying to upload my eclipse viewer again.

A cardboard box with a hole cut into the side, and a pinhole in sheet of tin foil on the other. All held together with parcel tape to keep the light out.

The sun projected on the inside of the box. I can make out the cardboard texture if I zoom in.

The order for the statistics on here has changed. For me at least. I'm sure it was reposts, quotes, likes, saves yesterday.

bluesky stats showing likes, reposts and saves in that order.

Tonight I added the following bit of CSS to the Stylus browser extension: .fan-bio-inner { & > [class$="info"]{display:none !important;} } I don't need to know 800 people have viewed my bandcamp page, thanks. Thanks to beeps.website/blog/2024-12...

Dropped off my car for it's service today. Went for a walk that ended up being ~7 miles. Oof. I took some photos with my phone.

~45 minutes until sunset. Not that there'll be much time until the heat starts again.

I've installed Ubuntu server on my old laptop and am running a handful of things in docker. No Proxmox. Everything's behind a reverse proxy with valid domain name, but internal network only (nothing pointing to my server online, no intention of accessing it from online right now).

A sketch of my beaver, Reed by @hibbary.bsky.social! Part of a charity drive they were running for a friend.

Pencil sketch of an anthro beaver sitting under a tree. He's holding a pair of binoculars and something has caught his eye in the distance.

New commission from @huie.bsky.social! Kind of a remake of an old piece featuring my other character.

Anthro capybara lsmiles with eyes closed while istening to music through headphones. He has a pink rose in his hair. He stands in front of a nice blue background.

Game covers for: Quake, Black & White, Homeworld, Wipeout XL, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, Mass Effect Trilogy, Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress, No Man's Sky

I factory reset my phone. Spent at least half an hour uninstalling all the crap it came with. For some reason the gallery app refuses to load unless I allow notifications. Anyway, I have 8 apps on one single page (and the android swipe-up junk drawer).

I don't have any spooky avatars for October, but I do have some autumnal ones. Starting with this from @moiravanitas.bsky.social !

Anthro beaver wearing a plaid shirt and dark scarf. He's standing in front of a simple falling leaves background. He's holding a hot drink.

I'm exhausted. I broke my desk on Tuesday and have spent the afternoon building a new one. It's very "rustic" - by which I mean it's all unpainted plywood and wonky construction timber. No pictures for bsky as my room's a mess, I'll post this old pic from @kingdomblade.bsky.social instead.

Anthro beaver posing with a circle saw held above his head. He has a manic laugh expression (don't worry he's just goofing around).
