Trenchtober - 15 - Fiber (Trench Crusade, Morktober) A Dervish Warrior! I had a lot of fun with all the sand and dust swirling around the dervish, and I think it turned out quite nice. He has a gas/dust mask, and a loose bandoleer of grenades, on top of his sword and pistol.

Went to a Sabaton concert this last week, and it was Fantastic. When they revealed that the drumkit-set was a ww1 tank, I just about lost my damn mind. Absolutely fantastic. Getting there - less so (delayed flights, cancelled flights, hurried ferry trips), but still a great time.

Originally I was going to have him be pin-cushioned by arrows, but it just didn't look right, so I armed him with a crossbow instead, and just had him swarmed by flies.

Trenchtober - 7 - Effigy (Trench Crusade, Morktober) The Walking Throne of Uziel. I had envisioned this as some sort of Desecrated Saint type of model, and I think I am happy with it. Originally it was shorter, and didn't look quite right, but I added the columns for some height.

Trenchtober - 5 - Cape (Trench Crusade, Morktober) This is some sort of Airship Captain of the Asturia-Galician Union, a (possible) kingdom in trench crusade. The uniform is inspired by the Asturian regiment (of the Spanish army) during the Spanish-Moroccan war. Quite a dashing fellow.

Trenchtober - 4 - Marrow (Trench Crusade, Morktober) I basically just drew up my actual wretched from my Court of the Seven force, called the Garden of Malice. Lots of people-looking types with skull heads, and a few hunting beasts for yoke fiends (mostly based on gnolls). Cheers!

I increased the size 300% to try and deal with the Horrid compression a bit. Hope it works moving forward.

Trenchtober - 3 - Glyph (Trench Crusade, Morktober) In the battlefields decimated by the Heretic Legions, these peculiar stones rise out of the ground, bearing forbidden glyphs and making dark promises. This one is a terrain/objective, and like my real-life stuff, is mounted on a thinner base.

As it happens, I ended up having a game against my friends Knights of Saint Lazarus on wednesday, and it was brutal, they killed off well over half my guys, but thankfully after trauma rolls, only 2 yeoman were actually dead. Cheers!

With the hell week behind me, I am trying to get back on track, and that means getting ready for daily drawings in October. This years is going to be "Trenchtober" (trench crusade pixel art). After careful consideration and list-pondering, I will be using the 2026 Morktober prompt list. Cheers!

Decided to be a handy-man when I got home from work today, I fixed a kitchen drawer that was very broken, and then made an extension to my wargames table-top, so I can have bigger games (or 2 3x3 game mats simultaneously). Should make Wednesday night games night even better.

I've been making a lot of preserves in the last month or so, mostly jams, apple butter, and a whole variety of stuff. But I just had a full batch of pear-ginger jam not setup properly, and will probably have to be thrown out. Sad times.

We had a few games of trench crusade this last week, including some of the new carcass front stuff. That Nineveh Novus scenario is fun, but the lunatic monks hit like a truck. Most fun part was using puppet master to pull my opponent out of melee with the monks, good laughs all around. Cheers!

Had some trench crusade games at the house this evening. The one pictured was Great Hunger against Eire Rangers, where the rangers just squeaked by, destroying the supply caches. My buddy wants help making a better great hunger list, so now I'm trying to figure that out. Potentially fun stuff.

Last week I set up a wargaming board for trench crusade that I was really very happy with. Since only one game got played on it, I may try and re-make it this week. I also got a fancy gunboat printed (an stl by Nate Feyma), and I now have to hype myself to paint it. Artillery witch for scale.

Our Trench Crusade games day was a success! Everyone got at least one game in, and some got several. one giant game went for over 3 hours, featuring a standard New Antioch vs. The Great Hunger, battling for control of the high ground. Overall a very great 12 hour day of games. Cheers!

Just a little WIP today, a Polish TKS tankette, made appropriately weird-war, and awaiting a paint scheme. With two Wargames Atlantic figures for scale. I was jokingly thinking of using this as a mechanized heavy infantry for trench crusade, as it would be funny.

I got the rocky cliffs terrain done, and am pretty happy with how they turned out. Then last night they got used in some trench crusade games, where we finally played the Dragon scenario. It rampaged around, destroying a whole lot of terrain, and remaining undefeated by the end. Good times!

Now, I talked to friends in my local trench crusade group, and we agree that the writer (Aramiha Harwood) probably intends it to be a Polearm. But in his art, it is a gun/spear combination weapon, so we are thinking of counting it as a Halberd Gun (maybe with a 18" range). Any Thoughts?
