SRC changed their terms of use yesterday, and released a news post with an FAQ. They make it sound like not a big deal. It's a big deal. The Creative Commons licence is gone. They claim ownership over the data now. Thread about what this means, and what we can do about it 🧵

Today's therapy session was a lot of talking about moral scrupulosity ocd, growing up on tumblr ~15 years ago, and how those two things are connected. also that it's not a moral failing to protect your space and make it what you need. so uh, if that's something you needed to hear, hope this helps?

Reminder, There are a lot of engineers at Twitch that have no choice but to jump, and they don't want to. The option is jump or lose their job/quit and deal with the current job market. Some of them have been trapped in that cycle for a while now. It can be really hard to break out of.
