Seems like a moot point especially if you consider that you're going to be playing Forever with both friends and potentially a "streamer guild". Popping into guild chat going "Hey can anyone craft me <x>? I'll provide mats" circumvents the problem imo.

Warlock is very solo-friendly. If you're worried about stream-content, I'd probably aim for something with at least 1 other role so you have some flexibility when playing with others but that's just my dumbass.

For those who don't know: Blizzard is taking a very hard stance against RTM, which ran rampant in WoW Classic, specifically to combat economic destruction. Some streamers have been using their viewers as middle-men: Viewer buys gold, gives it to the streamer. Blizzard finds out, streamer banned.

If there's one thing Blizz does better than any other company, it's incite you to play other games. "Oh if you play 5 matches of HotS you get a WoW mount? And if you hit 20 in WoW you get a HS card? 3 games of HS for a Diablo hat!" It makes Riot's failure to advertise THEIR games all the more stark

It might be worth it to ask among your friend group and see what needs to be filled in a ~5 man dungeon stack. I plan on rolling pally specifically because it fills any role and I have flexibility in how I cna fill a dungeon run.

What interests me most of all is how they're going to handle introducing new paid content: Are we going to expect stuff like Skyborne where we get smaller "paid packs" (~14.99 for a new race or class) or if Forever will get full-on "Expansions" with 2 new races and a class.

Current XIV jobs are built to serve a function (DPS, tank, etc) whereas Old WoW classes were made to embody an experience. This is especially important because you pick ONE SINGULAR CLASS. This class has to hold your attention for 60+ levels, you can't afford for it to run out of gas at 20/30.

The Q&A panel was really interesting. Namely that NO Forever features are coming to retail until the end of The Worldsoul saga. Which could mean you're not getting any Forever features until like 2028/2029. Also 10/20 man raids for most content, along with no gdkp and AGGRESSIVE economy management

@patstaresat.bsky.social Sorry, I gave you some wrong information last stream: There will actually be NO SUMMONING STONES in Forever (IE: No teleporting people in, you'll need a warlock) and they're adjusting the gold cost so the expensive part is the TRAINING, not the mount.

There were also like 12 different private servers which were Classic+ that did their own thing. Sometimes to CRAZY extents like Ascension WoW having -21- new classes. Blizz realized they were leaving money on the table.

This will probably be added to retail in the future. Considering Retail has WAY MORE ZONES they probably used Forever as a test run while working on retail. That said if it DOESN'T come to retail...well that doesn't look very good for retail's future.

Classic Andies have a longstanding hate for retail and will get VERY vitriolic towards Retail players. A lot of seems to be "If you play retail, you're supporting THE THING I HATE". It's like DOTA and League hatred except both games not only exist on the same client but use the same characters.
