Mareep joined me for my first day of class I’m attached to it now tbh… I think I have a plan on how to ‘safe’ it. Though not exactly saving Mareep, it’s the next closest I can do.

Sea Captain Finn VT @captainfinn.standingintheodds.com · 30/08/2026

Is there any way I can save this Mareep? I just got this pokewalker from Japan and there’s a Mareep in there from a trainer named Cherry. I don’t have the original cartridge, so I can’t return it normally.

Sea Captain Finn VT @captainfinn.standingintheodds.com · 14/07/2026

So we visited a castle today and I caught a shiny Pikachu with a crown Look how SMALL he is

A tiny shiny Pikachu wearing a tiara stands in front of a large castle. It looks to be made with stone, adorning large windows and a red tiled roof.

Said beach trinkets 💙 The shells are a super vibrant purple when wet, and the brown piece on the right kind of reminds me of pottery? So I might take it to the campus museum and see what they think of it

Soooo I expected Zygarde to take us all month; not barely a week. Introducing our new targets, the Hoenn Starters! Also colour picked them to make a funky trans flag. We'll probably be hunting them in Z-A since i don't have a GBA game ready for resets. Same Incentives and Milestones, see OG post!

“What was your biggest impact on the internet” It’s mostly a joke at this point; but I think Deltarune Spamton might be my fault. I got a weird advert back in the day and posted it to Tumblr before Deltarune was a thing… it went a little viral.

A photo of a computer screen. It has a white background with a green outline. The title, “Hello, You’ve Been Chosen!” Is in blue. The body text is as follows: “in celebration of the World Wide Web’s 25th anniversary, we are giving away prizes to a few lucky Telstra Internet Users. You’ve been selected to play Telstra Internet’s Trivia Quiz. Answer correctly and you will be given a special prize (valued at 500$) Hurry and complete the quiz before time runs out!”

There is then a green button with the text “click here to start quiz!”

On the left is pixel art of box-form Mettaton from Undertale inverted in colours.

Wrapped up for today with a PHASE! Found a cool Shiny Solosis on one of my childhood games that never found a shiny!!

Sea Captain Finn VT @captainfinn.standingintheodds.com · 21/05/2026

So I did get my old White and White 2 back, and while I was setting up White 2 (which was already a blank game, I was resetting for a starter) I ended up with a neat trainer ID So I now legally have to shiny hunt for a Zorua/Zoroark (even if it’s eggs)

Sea Captain Finn VT @captainfinn.standingintheodds.com · 19/05/2026

Aaand homeward bound. No cool shinies yet, but I got a solid 2.7 k for Minccino going! Will keep going and see if I get lucky :D

So I guess someone was showing some illustration rares from Abyss Eye/Pitch Black and they had the bright idea to AI upscale it… I’ve been laughing my ass off over these. This is the comparison of the upscale to the REAL card on Pokebeach. Remember y’all, AI is garbage lmao.

Aaaaand Stream over! Felt good to get back into the 8k hunting again; reached just over 500 encounters! Will try to do more on Thursday all goes well; but from the 10th to 20th I will have some IRL stuff to attend so I won't be live, but I might be able to offline hunt! Now, remember...

That's a wrap! Dive-Ball Island is making good headway! We had to custom make the Wiglett since it doesn't rly have any sprites, but i think it turned out really good! We'll return sometime next week to add more water friends!
