Everyone I knew took advantage of the two week early voting. I heard no issues. Also I didn’t hear of the degree of rat fucking that typically goes on. Most cast a sincere vote. All anecdotal of course. Talaricos message of top versus down resonated. Economic and social disparity.

Talarico also outspent Crockett. He was more organized and just ran a better campaign. He attacks republicans by framing it as a top versus down compared to a right versus left. Economic disparity. That’s a winning message.

I’ve never had an issue voting in my town in Tarrant county. I can see my polling locations and if I’m registered online. I also use early voting and not wait until Election Day.

And really he just needs to chip away in GOP strongholds. Countries that go 70/30 Repugs in elections can be chipped down to 65/35. That’s a ten point swing in votes. That adds up. He will need to visit the valley and west Texas. Hopefully Crockett will help with ETX and Dallas/Houston.

Dem turnout was huge. Talarico won Austin and pretty much every small town and rural county in west Texas. He won big among Latinos. He gives the Dems their best shot. A black woman cannot win a statewide election in this state. I voted Talarico during early voting.

Use the Texas voting site. It shows if you are registered and your polling location. And Texas had two weeks of early voting. Voters need to take advantage of that and educate themselves.
