Ahhh a customer (Ron - www.instagram.com/ron.rubyn ) has painted my Kiwimon sculpt! They had early access to it, since they suggested it and I knew it was one of their faves. I love seeing stuff like this! It's always so satisfying seeing people enjoy my work to this extent!

I am hoping to save stamina for next week by sculpting Belphemon's fur over the weekend. And once that's done, he'll finally be ready to print.

Finished commission and a WIP from the past 3 days (WIP is today). I'm getting faster at the sculpting itself, but pacing the work within my day is still something I need to learn more about. For now I'm documenting the time total time it takes to do a sculpt of a certain intensity.

Thinking about Dynamite Headdy now. I always wanted toys of it as a kid in the 90s (and all the other Treasure games). Anyway, a couple of years ago I made a Trubble Bruin to make steps towards that ancient wish.

The Dynamite Headdy villain, Trubble Bruin. He looks like a cat. He is not. It's a posable greyscale resin print. He is awkwardly posed, just like he is in-game. Good!

DapperCapper on Art Fight did some pixel art of my old character, The Well-Fought Urn! I am so happy, I love the colours they chose! Got Souls vibes.

Sculpted the hands of a commission this morning. Have been told it's the Arthur meme and yes it is. I can't unseen that now. Even when the whole sculpt is finished I will look at these hands and picture the aardvark.

A monochrome sculpt of a clenched fist. It's holding the handle of a sword, but the blade is not present. It holds a strong resemblance to a meme of Arthur clenching his fist in repressed rage.

Kotemon print update. Not cleaned up yet, but the mask can just about fit on after some strategic carving! I'm gonna have to print it a bit smaller for the client, but I'll be keeping this one to paint and advertise my stuff. #digimon #kotemon #3dprinting

That time I accidentally printed off a bunch of Dodomon in various sizes.

This is the third damn time I've tried posting this image, only to spot mistakes afterwards. Anyway!

The Digimon, Dodomon, is a limbless ball with a large zigzag mouth, small, angry eyes and pointy ears. It's covered in spiky fur.

This image depicts a small resin-printed army of Dodomon. They're all just hanging out on some kitchen paper on top of my fridge. Why? I don't know. I remember realising it was a mistake and a massive waste of resin at the time. No idea where they are now. Whoops!

Hello Bluesky! It's been a while. Life got in the way, but it's shuffled aside for a moment. Have a Gawappamon. Kappa the Rapper!

A 3D render of the Digimon Gawappamon. It's a green kappa (a goblin from Japanese folklore that looks like a cross between a humanoid turtle and a duck. The top of its head is flat, and contains water that is the source of its power).

But instead of water contained in the top of its flat head, Gawappamon has a CD. Its smooth, silver surface mimics a still pond that sits amongst its hair, which looks like a cross between dreads and a medieval Christian monk.

It holds another CD in its hand, and has a pair of headphones hanging around its neck. Its belly contains a bandaid on the front and stitches around the rim - a reference to the fact that Gawappamon is actually a puppet.

He looks jolly, and has a smiling duckbill. He seems to be doing a jig on the spot while waving his long arms around.

Last year I made a Hieronymus Bosch critter for my brother’s birthday.

A creature designed by Hieronymus Bosch that I sculpted and printed. It’s a kyphotic bird in a moomoo wearing a funnel on its head, has Disneyland Goofy ears and clapboards on its feet. Its beak looks like an ibis’s and is stabbing a letter.

Oh yeah, I made a Punimon as well. Some Baby 1 Digimon can be depicted in an SD way like this. But enlarging the eyes of ones with black eyes wind up in Funko Pop territory, and I’m not a fan. I’ll still make em, though, to be consistent with the SD style of them all lol

I can’t get back to my printer until next month, which is ridiculous. Last print I made was a commission for my friend @draktheone.bsky.social who wanted a Squonk; a “fearsome critter” from US folklore that is a wrinkly pig thing that constantly cries over being a wrinkly pig thing.

3D printed figure of Squonk. It’s like a piglet but with flab folds. It gingerly steps forward and looks very sad.

Did some more painting practice today, just trying to paint within the lines and glaze a gradient for the eye. I’m gonna have to start over to paint this sculpt properly cos it’s not sanded/ primed. But still! I’m pleased with it.

The Digimon “Nyaromon” as a resin 3D print. It looks like a limbless blob with feline features such as ears and a tail. It’s got big, shiny eyes and a zigzag grin. It’s looking to it’s left, kinda mischievous.

It’s mostly grey and unpainted, except for its left eye, which I’d spontaneously decided to practice painting on. Two big white highlights, black pupil and outline. There’s no white sclera, it’s just a gradient of orange gradating to red towards the top.

I’m pretty proud of it all for a first try!
