Ohh, is this good?? It’s been one on the watch list for years!

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I thought it was a great time - very funny, few good creepy moments. and so god damned video game-y. The bit with the ladder… I have done this exactly…

I wish I didn’t think this was the coolest thing ever

Very curious to hear more about this ! I loved the movie, really the right notes for me.

Man, that is really rough. Everytime I hear about the American healthcare system, I am thankful for the (somewhat shoddy And poorly run) Irish healthcare.

My god that is a beautiful piece of art

To be fair, knowledge has never been a precursor to someone making an objectively correct opinion on the internet, so I would certainly accept a review on the Character Issues Podcast. :B

Yo, Leah Bourbon & Whiskey Reviews incoming?

But my body craves the rage! Are you suggesting I should do something other than rage at reviews for games I might never play???

Obsidian is pretty great, but I don’t love it for writing. I use a combination of Obsidian and Proton. Proton Docs and Sheets features are coming along pretty well, but I think most people moving from Google see a pretty big downgrade in functionality.

It is a truly obscene number XD My 200 feels considerably smaller

010

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Most certainly! If are ever willing to dive into Nightreign I’d totally be up for that - my partner has like 1200 hours in the game so can lead any squad :D

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Very weird energy from the internet. Maybe I am jaded but this brings me more joy compared to Sony’s offerings… And I am not some Nintendo head! I literally just bought a Switch 2 today for Duskbloods :D

110

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Definitely gonna pick this up before the end of the year. Working through a couple of longer games at the moment, so maybe after that, it might be a nice palette cleanser.

000

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

This is a tremendous video, I may now need to rewatch. For no reason whatsoever I will also say, it would be really weird to remake a piece of media and basically have it look identical to the original. It would create a strange uncanny valley effect…

I’m surprised you didn’t jump in on this one Leon! People say this is the best jumping in point for the series

Dark Souls 2 is basically a labyrinth of nonsense! I am pretty sure you are nearing the point where doing the DLC would make sense. I am living for the update about when you reach the pinnacle of Dark Souls 2 area design - Horse F*ck Valley.

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Ahh! I have heard of Dunkin Donuts. Pumpkin spice lattes only reached Ireland a few years back and exclusively in Autumn / Winter. Truly America is the land of the free, where pumpkin is a summer time joy! Enjoy it !

000

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Dunka latte! what in the name of all that is good is Dunka??

100

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

It costs 14 real Canadian dollaru’s for bread??! The population of Ireland would collectively cease to exist if a loaf of good bread cost that kind of money!

This is not to say I disagree with those who want a single player experience! I am hoping we see the next big single player game from them next!

000

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

I am super interested in Duskbloods and the multiplayer stuff isn’t a killer for me - I loved Nightreign. It’s the idea of paying €500 for another console that is killing me. It does seem based on some interviews, two multiplayer games happening a year apart was accidental.

100

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

My adoration for From Software and year long addiction to Nightreign, plus these previews of The Duskbloods are making me itchy…

010

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

I’d also suggest it’s the best looking of the MCU Spider-Man movies. It doesn’t just look like everyone was green screened together. The fight scenes were pretty visceral, the villain was interesting and the web swinging was awesome - more inline with the Raimi movies.

When I first played SotFS I gave up at Iron Keep, because I found the enemies so utterly miserable

I am getting excited for this episode! I think you mentioned on a recent show that you have been rewatching The Simpsons… I have been doing the same and by god, that show is good! Who knew

Would love to hear your thoughts on Oak Street and Crimes of the Future (a movie I struggled with when I saw it)

Head of Vengarl is an absolute unit from what I recall.

010

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

I adore this movie - easily in my personal top 5. it’s genuinely funny at times, Ben Kingsley is excellent and even Guy Pearce ends up doing a better MCU villain than others in the franchise.

110

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Excited to hear thoughts on this one

You guys are killing it. Platinumed Bubsy 4D on ps5 and i am itching to it again on ps4 :D Desperately hoping for a ps5 release of Demon Tides - Turf was easily top 3 games I played last year!

030

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

I’m a big Kingdom Hearts fan (or was when this game came out), but i Have similar feelings on this game as you. I look forward to the Cane and Rinse for this.

000

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

I will be honest GTA 4 might be the extent to which I can handle realism. I felt 5 was far too extreme and just felt a bit dull to do basically anything in. I like the arcade-y nonsense of the ps2 games.

010

CapnPhtephen @capnphtephen.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Might I also add… finally… there hasn’t been a single meaningful preview for this game yet - how does it actually play!!
