There's an important difference between the small businesses focused first on growth & the bottom line vs. the businesses that are focused on their impact and the people around them. More than half of small businesses close by Year 5. I've interviewed 67 founders, leaders, & owners. 0 have closed.

Somewhere between 20-25% of small businesses close in their 1st year and that % increases significantly with time such that more than half end up closing by year 10. I've interviewed 66 business leaders making a positive impact on their community, many entrepreneurs, so far and 0 have closed down.
