Day 419 of asking @kyleedwardball.bsky.social for the extended cut of Skinamarink Heyyy so never listen to me, here is rough new pose. Fun celebration I have spent an average of 2 (two) hours a day in Blender in the past two weeks and I haven't worked that consistently in years :333 Comfort V0.1

I have always wondered how two models would play out and what challenges that might have and its been enlightening even getting this basic set up. This is a very very rough posing similar to like a basic sketch. I also switched to making this pose instead of ByeStorm because I want comfort and so Im making comfort. Its been so nice to be able to just work on the thing Im feeling and not feel like a failure for not finishing the project before it first. Reconnected with an old friend in person and that pushed my need to get this pose out. Anyway yeah, never trust me and my intents to make things I will just work on something else lol.

Consistently working for two weeks for like an actually decent amount of time? Incredible genuinely this is so huge for me. Thank you for anyone who has ever encouraged me to create. It has meant a lot through the years.

An anthropomorphic cat reaches upward straining to be higher. Her mouth open involuntarily gasping for air that she can not breathe. Her paws paddling as quickly as she can muster her face dragged behind in the water.

Worked for three hours. This pose is much more difficult being much more involved with its bodyparts and working on the z axis more. I want to take the opportunity to do perspective study with this pose so you may be seeing it for a long time. Want to do more lighting practice too to really learn it.

Day 408 of asking @kyleedwardball.bsky.social for the extended cut of Skinamarink This is the beginning of something much bigger, inspired by Injury Reserves' "Knees" my very first render, using the Mayu avatar base as my subject. Learned basic posing and lighting with this. Knees (1.0 and 1.1)

A humanoid cat sits on her knees, legs slightly spread, back paws together. Her left arm down at her side while her right arm is lifted above her open maw holding a drink that isnt there. Her tail is wrapped around her body to have something to hold her. Her ears are down and slightly flattened to her head her whiskers following. The space around her is an empty black, the only visual being her reflection on the ground below her. The left side of her body facing the camera is bathed in harsh red light coming from above, the right side of her body concealed in darkness.

Figured Id have a production image here to show how bad this is on a technical level lol. Lights are placed haphazardly around the subject, two cameras exist because I was toying with angles. Also you may notice a lot of deleted parts of the Mayu base becasue I couldnt figure out how to get them out of the render without deletion. There is also an unactivated point light becasue it added bad shadows to the render that I couldnt figure out how to fix LMAO. For a first render I am honestly incredibly proud of this turn out and hope to improve.

THIS IS ME BEING MAD AT THE ARMATURE. Either I have a skill issue or base Mayu has so little control over certain parts of the body. Ill need to do my own rigging or get the right file lol. NO EYELIDS I COULDNT MOVE THE HIPS I WANTED HER LOWER AND THE PAW ON THE FLOOR whatever kill me.

It’s my second favorite film, I would say it’s incredibly worth it but it’s quite intense and you may want to check for potential triggers especially if you have sensitivity to children in harm and distress
