there's an interesting dichotomy in fandom where it's, by it's nature, pretty self-indulgent, but people tend to flock to the same characters and pairings by virtue of popularity (for a number of reasons) so they filter what they WANT to explore through the lens of this ship even if it doesn't suit

gonna be honest I think a lot of people need to shut up about the hp trailer completely, including telling people not to watch it. ive seen more about that trailer from posts telling me not to breathe in its direction than anything else and that’s not helping in making it irrelevant!!

i spoke about this (one sentence) on tumblr but god i love the way firearms are introduced in kcd 2. it would have been so easy to have them offered to the player immediately because guns in a medieval setting! but holding back to unleash them on henry at the most chaotic moment in the game rocks

Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc. If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.
