Watched the last showing of the 40th Anniversary Transformers release at my theater, and two things: 1) Spike yelling "HOLY SHIT!", the only curse in the movie, when Unicron attacks, killed all ten people in the theater. We were dead. 2) Fighting the junkatrons to "Dare to be Stupid" was too much.🤦

Got to watch the 40th anniversary of Akira at the theater and, while violent, the animation quality is outstanding. While some dislike having to check the bottom of the screen to learn what is being said, I actually learned more about the plot then when I watched it in English.

Got to watch The Thing for the first time and it was a pretty fun ride! The practical effects and story were very engaging as was the mounting tension. There were some...plot issues...like having it build a space ship.

Saw the new Spider-Man movie and it was fun, sentimental, action packed, and melancholic. Avoid spoilers like the plague. Very interested in how it develops the MCU. Tom Holland needed a shirtless scene in The Odyssey so people could remark on how Spider Jacked he is.

It's interesting to look up McConnell's life and see that he was there when Dr. King gave his "I have a dream" speech. Real living history. Then you read about his zero sum politics and how he denounced Trump and refused to take any personal responsibility for doing anything about it.

Saw Mandalorian and Grogu and...yeah. It's an extralong Mandalorian episode. It's ok. The writing and dialog aren't stupid. Truly, the best of the movie is when you realize every character on screen is a puppet and not a CGI creature. And it's adorable.
