As an Arsenal fan who hates PGMOL, I am absolutely delighted to say Arsenal’s penalty just now was insanely wrong. It happened so far outside the box that there is no legit explanation for it at all. PGMOL and the entire referee class in England needs to go. Incompetent, corrupt or both.

Someone I thought was roughly my age came up to me smiling the other day. Turns out he’s now a granddad. I’m not worried about him per se, but yeah, the parents are now quite young. The grandparents might be your age. And the real danger is the people who might soon have great-grandchildren.

Dunno man. That lovely team has derailed Arsenal in each and every one of the last three attempts. The 2-2 in 23 after Saka’s pen was soul destroying. The home defeat over Christmas in season after was part of the collapse we couldn’t come back from even with 18 wins. Last year killed us off.

It’s worse though. In what can only be an act of attempted money laundering, we seem happy to bid £50 million for a player no fan wants and who has no place at Arsenal. If we buy Madueke and fail to land Gyok while Chelsea use our cash to buy Rodrygo, riots might ensue. Baffling.

This looks more like a classic issue with PPP. It might not work as a calculation in an environment where dollar is essentially pegged, inflation statistics are enthusiastic and the basket of goods is out of date. Put simply, Turkey is actually more expensive than many of those countries now.

It gets worse though. We grew up studying the Second World War, lessons about the Blitz and the Battle of Britain. That war ended 37 years before I was born. 37 years ago now is the late 80s, which I remember very well. I am very much of the view that the nature of time has changed :)

The far right at the moment moves the Overton Window by incentivizing people taking fascistic views. The far left goes at it the other way: threatening punishment and ostracising for even the slightest deviation from current orthodoxy. The latter isn’t a mass movement and can’t get there.
