you are not, in fact, supposed to be able to pull the connector off the end of a run of heliax with a gentle tug. All fixed up and the antenna actually works now!

this is all amazing history, thank you for scanning them!! I would love to find official drawings for the concrete towers so I can make some prints. I just made my own but they're definitely not as detailed as I'd like, plus I wasn't good enough at art yet to draw the KS-15676s properly ߹𖥦߹

spent two hours with a wrench and a torch to try and figure out why my 6GHz calibration standard was dead. If it wasn't broken before it sure is now. Tiny little ceramic substrate PCB with two carbon traces that combine to make an extremely precise 50Ω load, and now unfortunately in two pieces.
