Reminder that today a new game jam by the Games for Blind Gamers community starts: the Making Games Accessible game jam! Read more about it in our announcement post from last month: caniplaythat.com/2026/06/02/g...
Making Games Accessible" is written over the sky and a calm ocean, arriving to the shore of a beach lighted by the morning sun. A sandcastle was built on the sand to the right. On the left and freshened under a beach umbrella's shadow, a harnessed guide dog lays on a striped towel, along with a folded white cane and a laptop open on a coding program. On the bottom right, the Games for Blind Gamers logo.

It's never a bad time to restate that we do not use generative AI for our content. Accessibility, like art, is only possible through the lived experience and expertise of people. People with conscience, not clock speeds. Driven to make things better for the many, not to make a profit for the few.

Blink and you'll miss it, but yesterday's trailer for EA SPORTS FC 26 featured a sneak peak at the game's High Contrast Mode. Thanks to @momoxmia.bsky.social for sharing this, and confirming it will be available in all game modes, including the competitive / PvP modes!
A shot from the official FC 26 trailer. The grass of the soccer field is grey instead of green, and the players' kits are a contrasting blue and red.

Happy Disability Pride Month! In July we celebrate our lives, we remember the many that have come and gone, and we are proud of our achievements, experiences, and challenges. Accepting disability as part of our identity is not always easy, we are proud of you wherever you are on your own path.
