did the same with Metroid II: Return of Samus tonight and I managed to get the best ending!!

a screenshot of the "The End" screen from Metroid 2: Return of Samus. the screen is a solid black background with small yellow pixels representing stars sprinkled on it. in the center is white cursive text reading: "The End" and next to that text is Samus Aran, depicted in a red bikini with her hair flowing in the wind. at the bottom is the gameplay timer, which reads: "TIME 02:24"

so like did Discord use a 'cleaned up' AI image generation for their newest shop promo banner?

I want to join everyone else in diving into the metroid series but unfortunately my executive dysfunction has gotten so bad since getting my degree that even fun activities like that feel impossible, despite me having the games readily available and the platforms I intend to play them on all set up.

"where does Metroid keep his missiles?" will be a completely valid question if Samus decides to become a he/him futch in Ravenous

Deer, Marcy, and I played the Amigo festival in the hours between the kirkiversary & 9/11 and managed to achieve this win streak AND finished the festival with a race where we secured the 4 top spots.

a screenshot from Sonic Racing Crossworlds, showing Amigo at the victory podium. the results text reads: "Win Streak: 9 | 10 pts"

same as previous, but the win streak is now 11.

Marcy has been showing Deer and I Doctor Who (2005) for the past handful of months, and we recently got to the timeless child arc and as of last night the titular episode... ...I see why this era of the show is not exactly beloved.

wishing very very much that this sentiment gets picked up by indie game devs, because whenever I find a game that is outspoken about how a whopping 0% of it was put together with gen AI I make a point to wishlist or buy it (if I can afford to) immediately.

unlike a lot of their true-plant counterparts, flowerfolk have their own ways of enduring the cold. snaps, for example, has dense, multi-layered fur like a polar bear or husky! this means he REALLY enjoys the snow

it's strange how having their Fortnite iterations be clones is probably to get around Sonic's "I wouldn't be caught dead using a gun" thing. but then they give the clones exact copies of the originals' personalities, so is Sonic's clone about to have some major internal conflict about this?

someone added me to a list of "tiktok furries" which is a bit strange as I deleted my tiktok account back when the sale was confirmed to be going through so I don't really know what that's about.

Epic Games is so funny because it took them just under 4 years to make a non-battle pass exclusive remix of one of their single most popular characters because said character's target demographic was transgender furries and indulging them makes the predominantly cis male gaming space uncomfortable.
