We buy our beeswax in big three-pound blocks. Melting that much wax at a time takes forever, so when we get a fresh batch, we melt it all down into smaller pucks to make it easier to manage!

Candle Safety Rule #2: Do not add flammable items to candles or burn candles with embedded items! Adding things like paper, herbs, flowers, crystals, or oils to a candle can cause rapid changes in flame height, put off smoke, throw sparks, ignite from multiple points, or even combust.

It took forever, but we finally managed to get the proper air hose to connect the air compressor and pressure pot! That means that, at long last, Ren can finally start making silicone molds and dice sets again!

We started buying beeswax from a bee farm instead of a candle supply shop. When it comes straight from the hive, it still has hive detritus, which has to be filtered. I find it oddly satisfying when we clean the melting pot nozzle and see exactly how much stuff got trapped in the initial filter.
