Earthjustice is also advocating for Metro to revise Measure M allocations to pay for new charging infrastructure as part of an Olympic legacy. Take that money away from the freeway widenings! It's sounding more like we'll have plenty of buses for 2028 — although they won't all be electric

More buses added to the official 2028 count as Metro votes to acquire 220 electric buses in time for the games. These will be used for the J line and charged at a new El Monte yard. This will mean about 10 percent of the fleet will be electrified, according to Earthjustice estimates

Great news: California Governor Gavin Newsom signed the California Ratepayer Protection Act, which prevents for-profit utilities like PG&E and SoCalGas from forcing customers to pay for political lobbying and promotional ads. This will lower energy bills for Californians - a big win!

Etransit buses are just better than methane burning buses for riders. Took a SM big blue gillig ebus & it was quiet & clean. Took a methane burner back & it was loud & funky smelling Now don’t get me wrong - we need to keep using combustion buses until the end of useful life but ebuses are better.

We had a great time talking about decarbonizing manufacturing with Bellwether Coffee and reps from CARB, CEC, CPUC, the legislature, and BAAQMD on Monday. Coffee may be a small part of our manufacturing base, but it's definitely one that many of us interact with every day.
