OOF this is tough to see…three seasons of #Survivor, playing good enough to be on #SurvivorGameChangers and THIS is his legacy…what a shame

AND, for that matter, I can’t get over how different Varner looks from #SurvivorAustralianOutback and #SurvivorGameChangers…

I’m also rewatching old seasons of #Survivor in preparation for #Survivor50 and I forgot how much I loved Colby, Jerri, and Tina from #SurvivorAustralia

Started watching #ProjectRunway for the first time ever today since Law Roach is on there and I fear I’m hooked.

After this she asked “Do you ever read anything with straight people in it?” and I don’t *think* she was being malicious but I just looked at her, smiled, and said “Not if I can help it 🙂”

Last week a student asked me what books I’d recommend/books I like and over the course of like 5 min I suggested The Cooking Geneby @koshersoul.bsky.social and The Golden Boys duology by Phil Stamper…

I tried to resist like Dylan Efron on The Traitors so hard and after the lag few episodes I fear I may be a fan

Cameron Brown @camlbrown.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

started season 3 of #TheTraitors and the best part of the show so far is I get to scream “shut the FUCK UP SANDOVAL” like i did the last two seasons of #VPR

Console-ing Passions folks: if anyone is still in need of a panel, I just found out the panel I’m putting together has two open spots. It was formerly about industry and feminist media studies but topic can be flexible!

All of them (but especially the second picture) is giving very much “hi sirrrrrrr 😍”

I cannot wait!! So excited to be presenting with my good sister at @scmstudies.bsky.social

AND, because this thread started with Christmas decoration too (which didn’t happen until much later as well), here’s some Christmas cheer pictures!!!

Here are some pictures from the day that I thought were fun and make me happy!! (Side note: I’m SHOCKED and upset that Elphaba’s drink was a dirty martini that wasn’t green. Tempted to ask Film Scene if I can freelance drink development for them…)

A ★★★★★ review of Wicked (2024)

The short version of my thoughts about #Wicked are: literally perfect, Cynthia/Ariana/Jonathan are the new Holy Trinity, I love that the girls are so emotional and affectionate with each other during the press tour. The long version is here!: boxd.it/7UrLPf

Goodness, I got tired after seeing #Wicked and went to bed early then got busy and am just now getting back to this thread!

THATS RIGHT! It’s #Glicked weekend! I’m watching #GladiatorII and #Wicked today, submitting a job app in between viewings (the emoji is the school mascot), then decorating for Christmas.

Can anyone guess what I’M doing today?? Here’s a hint: 🗡️👹🧙🏻‍♀️🎄

At least someone is comfy cozy in this frigid wasteland #KingCaspian

000

Apparently it snowed in Iowa City today. How do I know? I got a notification that the snow was “stopping soon” from my phone and it’s -0 degrees in my apartment. This is *TEW* much for my delicate southern sensibilities.

My least favorite question my friends and family ask (with good intention) is “Where are you going to work? Are you moving to X place??!” and I’m sitting there like 🧑🏼‍💻🤷🏼‍♂️

I do this but with games, movies, books, tv shows, albums, literally *everything*

000

I was already in the market for a new one because when we were offered new chairs for our offices at school, I didn’t realize they meant “new to us” so if you know of anyone getting rid of 2 office chairs or $4401.87 for new ones lmk 😉

*Nick may or may not actually be a huge ReTrumplican, I’m simply referring to his on screen story, please let me live in ignorant bliss to the realities of his political allegiances 😅

And in light of the recent election, having the winner be a KY native who’s working to help people struggling with drug addiction (instead of shaming them like a certain VP-elect) is so heartwarming*

In my on-going trek through all the seasons of #Survivor, I was very unenthused about Season 37’s final 3 until the final tribal council, then I wanted them all to win, but my favorite of the three won!
