The triple-decker nonsense sandwich: slur as punchline, earnest objection, then "Bluesky is down the hall" as if basic decency is a niche political hobby. The people who built Rails community include disabled people. DHH is an example of what a OSS community leader shouldn't be.

Eventbrite will leave Brazil due to regulatory constraints. This impacts tech community events like @pythonbrasil.bsky.social and @gambiconf.dev. The issue isn't Eventbrite or other platforms, but Brazil regulatory environment, which makes running businesses reliably and predictably unviable.

This concrete section is all that remains on the site of my great-great-grandfather's house. The original wooden house that once stood here collapsed in 00s. My grandfather built this concrete extension in 85 I still remember the old wooden house, but unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of it.

I'm really happy to have gotten one of the few copies of Programação para Arquitectos (Programming for Architects) by Prof. Leitão. The book teaches programming with LISP/Racket applied to architecture, urbanism, computer graphics, and more. I absolutely love it.

LLMs are trained on lots of code, including some Haskell, OCaml, and Scala, but far less than Python, JS, or Java. That gap shows up clearly in how LLMs handle FP code, even used in marketing for FP courses. So yeah, you can use them just expect weaker support than for JS or Python.

Olhando o site da Python Brasil 2025 (2025.pythonbrasil.org.br), eu fui da ORG ano passado e foi muito difícil de fazer o evento sair do papel. No caso era em uma cidade de interior... Mas esse ano em uma das maiores cidades do Brasil em pleno BOOM de IA não tá rolando patrocínio? Falta de visão?
