A foundational build featuring the trichrome process, manually inducing the particle reactance for testing until a variable component such as field recordings or environmental data are implemented. The whole image is affected here but the plan is to develop conceptually relevant isolated subjects.

First Trichrome image. Composition chosen to be used as a study for it's geometric shapes within my hybrid digital process. James Clerk Maxwell, also from Edinburgh, theoreticized in 1855, showing in 1861 with the world's first colour photo that all colours are made from red, green & blue.

From the archives... In 2018 I co-produced a theatre play, acting as creative director for all media. This included the actor's headshots, promo artwork, BTS promo video, and I composed 2 original pieces for the score. The play went on to win Best Production, and Director at the Copenhagen Festival

Today is Shravan Somvar Monday, celebrated in India. My work featured in the previous post, based upon the mystical draw of the Ganges left a lot of free time over the 6-weeks in Varanasi to explore afterwards, starting before sunrise to get the right light for the large format images I was making.

3 year ago I was on a 3-month project in India exploring the spiritual power of the River Ganges. Photographed on large format, the images were developed on site using the water from the river itself, capturing through its particulates a sense of its essence imprinted through the final image.

Up early to complete my hydrophonic mic build. Using a piezo cylinder, the circuit is soldered which is then sealed in a resin with the protruding copper serving as a ground to remove hum. Just tested, looking forward to recording on my forthcoming art residencies abroad. #contemporary #eco #field
