It’s insane as to how reasonably sized this phone actually is. I think it will win over a lot of iPhone Mini hold-outs.

A man wearing glasses holds a small object while looking to the side. He is in a room with shelves and a mirror visible in the background.

I guess I gotta share the sweet video.

If you are looking for super specific content only on your TV, you can actually use either Oscillate mode (think all posts, text/images, URLs, video etc) or Channels (video only) where you will only get content from a specific user account or hashtag. This could be very cool for conferences?

A dark interface showing a pop-up window titled 'Create from an account or hashtag'. The window includes options for 'Account' and 'Hashtag', with a text input field and buttons labeled 'Use This Account' and 'Cancel'.

If you find a post you like, you can click in with your Apple TV remote, and a QR code will appear so you can open the post on your iPhone or iPad, and interact with it.

Two QR codes on a dark background with text below them. One says 'Open the post' and the other says 'Open the link'.

You're probably asking yourself, "Who would want Bluesky on their TV?". I started the project as a joke, but ended up really liking it. The main mode in the app is called "Oscillate", where you slowly sway through posts (like a skyscraper does in the wind).

Glenn posts on Bluesky, and it’s rendered on Apple TV.

I didn't plan on announcing this tonight, but #yolo. Introducing @getskyscraper.com for tvOS. apps.apple.com/us/app/skyscraper-fo… The app is currently propagating to the tvOS Store, but will soon be available for the largest screens in your household.

A dark interface with three cards labeled 'Oscillate', 'Media Wall', and 'Channel'. Below, a row of buttons and a link to create an account or hashtag.

The tvOS app is free, currently without any Pro features. You're probably asking yourself, "why the hell would you make a Bluesky app for a TV?" After playing around with the idea as a joke, I started to really like it. The app's main mode is "Oscillate", where you can slowly watch feeds go by.

A post by Glenn on Bluesky, rendered on Apple TV

Here’s a preview of the upcoming widgets feature, coming to Vision Pro. It’ll be on iPhone, iPad, and Mac too. But this is definitely the coolest use of widgets.

Lol, I feel like apps are going to have to redesign to best display the open animation in a pretty way:

Sorry, I meant the pitcher who got a W/L/S, etc. I know Painter didn’t get the win last night, but wanted to see who did.

Man, look at that native macOS compose window, complete with @fontme.bsky.social's Skyscraper Midnite custom theme. I love it!

Live integration coming in next release for @getskyscraper.com makes it easier for me to watch GiantBomb dot com. A website about video games!

This notification is fun recognition of my situation, but at lease Mike was at O’Hare with Billy Goat Tavern, Torta Frontera, I think at least one Lou Malnoti’s, and Goose IPA. I didn’t even have lunch and I’m stopped behind a FedEx truck!

Just gotta believe in myself.

Also knocked off a feature I had in my backlog since maybe March. You can pull the text out of images - and this is all done locally on device, privately. Very nice when people just post screenshots of blog posts/articles.

Cameron Banga @cameronbanga.com · 07/08/2026

One feature I’ve been trying to figure out, that is getting added in 1.6, is the ability to share posts as images. I know a couple of my users who use Tapestry for this. So it’s coming! And as a privacy note, you can’t share posts from users who have their account locked from being embeddable.

Cameron Banga @cameronbanga.com · 04/08/2026

Hey would you look at that, @getskyscraper.com already supports 100 users in group chat which was launched by @bsky.app today! Who wants to join our test group lol.

Have a new release for @getskyscraper.com, 1.5.2. See release notes below: One note - I worked a bunch on text size consistency across the app. You may need to adjust your default text size to accommodate.

Lincoln Park Chicago has a bar still, but I feel like they mostly just help you out on the floor. At least they did they twice in the past year where I tried to explain that CarPlay didn’t work very well with my iPhone Air.

Cameron Banga @cameronbanga.com · 28/07/2026

Oh, I think I remember now. I realized that my implementation was broken a bit. The last notification segment is a three dot ellipsis but I think actually is only subscribed user notifications. I think I reviewed and originally made ellipsis in case it caught other types but I don’t think it does.
