A twitter post from @SaraStarberry with the text "oh my god read the vertical axis"

The quote retweet states "Open AI's internal benchmarks show GPT-6.1 Sol crushing Opus 5.5, with Anthropic struggling to keep up"

The graph plots various models, each with a vaguely up-rightward trend, purporting to be model performance over time.

The Y axis reads "model number".

"hmm let me check in on puzzle and dragons" > 420,000 hp > two 82% shields i remember when 60,000 hp (really, 15,000 hp + two 50% shields) was the gold standard
A comment on /r/puzzleanddragons describing the stat requirements for a modern dungeon. The text reads

"This dungeon is asking you to bring one or both, as long as you bring a delay skill for Floor 3 and don't break both parts too early. you can skip both enrage hits.

You need something silly like 420,000 hp on two 82% shields to get through fully (without a looping shield, could knock that even further down with a 35% looping shield). As it's not too mechanic heavy, you should be able to fit more in the team for survivability."

Embedded image:

On Tuesday, he wrote on social media that "if AI can solve all maths problems, I'll go home and write my yuri novel".

no seriously why do they think this
Hi Cameron,

I’m following up on my previous note to see if you’ve had a chance to explore Alignerr. Given your background at OpenAI, DeepMind, and Anthropic, your expertise would be particularly well-suited for the complex code evaluation and agentic AI projects we're currently scaling.

(POSTER'S NOTE: I have never worked for any of the listed companies)

reaching new levels of agent trolling
If anyone wants to prevent LLM contributions, it seems like symlinking CLAUDE.md to /dev/urandom might do the trick: by default, claude code unconditionally reads CLAUDE.md if it is present in the repository root. The reading function checks if the files to load are block devices among a few other things, but does not mind at all if they are symlinks in general, including directory traversal to anywhere.

overseen on the Scala meta discussion (this is actually a very reasonable thing to say in-context but it did tickle me in just the right way)
The other magic I demand of null is that I can throw it.

```
scala-cli repl --server=false -S 3.8.2
Welcome to Scala 3.8.2 (25, Java OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM).
Type in expressions for evaluation. Or try :help.
scala> throw null
java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot throw exception because "null" is null
  ... 32 elided
```

tenting saga part two: two ipad stands for an ergodox ez this works... less well. The angle is a little too extreme for me and it's kind of too tall. Also a bit flimsy (that was to be expected; I would have glued it if it was good).

(Wikipedia) The Times once published an unintentionally humorous description of a Peter Ustinov documentary, noting that "highlights of his global tour include encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year-old demigod and a dildo collector". Again, there is ambiguity as to whether the sentence refers to three distinct entities, or whether Mandela is being described as both a demigod and a dildo collector. The addition of a serial comma would not resolve the issue, as he could still be mistaken for a demigod, although he would be precluded from being a dildo collector.

In a moment of weakness, I attempted to use Cursor to do a mostly-mechanical-but -frustrating-to-automate refactor with company-provided credits, which I have karmically paid for. The agent is stuck in a loop deciding whether it changed 148 or 20 files (according to git diff, it changed 9), and my credits are fully spent.
