@jebox.bsky.social if you could go back in time and implement 5 Minecraft features/mechanics differently with no risk of community backlash, which would you pick?

Because changing yourself to fit the world is very different to letting the world teach you. How to listen, how to support, how to be principled, how to improvise, how to connect.

I just had a dream that mojang added a new trial chamber that had vents that shot out waves of smoke you had to jump over or be pushed away. Then there was another platform filled with rabbits which had an entire crafting system.

Hey @jebox.bsky.social, how does the team decide whether to prefix a new undead mob with "Zombie" or "Zombified"?

Introducing the Dumper! A block placer with a twist. The blocks it places will fall like sand or gravel, even ones that wouldn't naturally do so. I was considering using it in the End Meteors to make falling blocks you have to jump across. But this idea actually came to me in a dream last year!

Cameron @camcamburger.bsky.social · 29/11/2025

I made a brief mock-up of the End Meteors experience so far! There are: - Checkpoints you can activate - Forcefields that teleport you to a Checkpoint - Super-Slime which bounces you higher every time - Building Fatigue which limits you to placing one block per minute (I will remove particles later)

Cameron @camcamburger.bsky.social · 29/11/2025

Finally found some time to keep working on my End Meteors mod! I got the HUD indicator working for Building Fatigue. This effect adds a 1 minute cooldown for placing blocks - it will be used in parkour puzzles to let the player cheat if they get stuck. Art: Voiden & Jasmiscus (video 10x tick rate)

Minecraft’s enchanting system has always been a mix of grinding for XP, rerolling villager trading, and stacking enchantments to get "God Gear". Much of it is antithetical to Minecraft’s goals as a creative sandbox - so @astrazoey.bsky.social decided to overhaul it completely. youtu.be/ND4pAWq8sZY

Someone accidentally spilt juice on my shirt today so I rinsed a portion of it then went all over campus looking for a hot air hand dryer. But they'd all been replaced with towels - which are better for hands but not for me! Then I realised the real drying was the wind I ran through along the way...

Working for a company, owned by another company (and a publicly-traded one at that), it’s always frustrating to hear players equate revenue, or purchase price a decade ago, with potential output. That money isn’t just ready in a bank. That’s not how budgets work. That’s not how any of this works.
