That's such an awesome story! I still spend quite an amount of time in the studio alone to explore ideas, create material and practice. But I'm really turned off by the AI bros and online grifters (which overlap now that they can vibe code crappy plugins instead of crappy sample packs ;)).

So, the online music grifters went from selling shitty sample packs to selling shitty vibe coded plugins and even shittier entire DAWs. There are a few exceptions (e.g. Rapidflow, but he actually has a software engineering background), but dang, don't buy that shit folks.

Many people hate the early AIRA design, but I quite like it. That said, I only have the TR-8S and MC-707, neither of which feature that design language. :P

Practicing the live set this evening. Going better than expected, so that’s good. I realized that the prep work and setup is super important. Build that flow in by default so on the evening itself everything goes natural.

I spent 3 months looking for a job back in 2023, it can be demotivating for sure. I got about two dozen applications out in the first week. With the job market being as brutal as it is today you don't want to do things sequentially, but also not spend your entire day/week/month hunting jobs.

Apple used to be master at minimizing gestures/clicks to get something done. Currently on the latest beta and they completely butchered the clock/timer/stopwatch workflow. It was almost perfect the way it was. Now it requires a whole bunch of actions and/or a search. What problem does that solve?
