Wake up: Fascism is here. America is not the good guy. No special bell will ring... it's already happened.

I’m a disabled vet with PTSD, barely making it through daily life—crushing prices, a broken VA, and constant stress. I don’t need the added burden of a psychopathic president making every day worse. Leadership should lighten the load, not traumatize us further.

“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” — George Orwell, 1984 Karoline Leavitt has taken that command and run with it.

The film 2073 shows capitalism's endgame: a poisoned planet, ruined cities, and democracy discarded for automated tyranny. The masses, alienated and pacified by screens, drift through wreckage. This isn't fiction—it's the logical result of treating nature and people as disposable. #2073

If you’re still on Twitter, you’re not just scrolling — you’re serving. I don’t care who you are. You’re feeding a machine built to control thought, silence dissent, and crush democracy. Elon Musk didn’t buy Twitter to connect people. He bought it to own the narrative — and to own you.
If you're still on Twitter, you're not just scrolling — you're serving. I don't care if you're a journalist, a politician, a mother raising children, or a troll stirring the pot — you're feeding a system built by billionaires to control thought, silence dissent, and crush democracy. Elon Musk didn’t buy Twitter to connect people. He bought it to own the conversation. To own you. So I ask: what are you doing? Why are you still in his house? Get out. Get free.

Sam N is right... these protests are mostly about venting, but nor affecting change. To affect change, it needs to be followed up by:

Finally, here's a table summarizing actions that can amplify the impact of protests and help drive real change:

What strategies should accompany protests to make protests useful?

So if protests may be ineffective, what do elites actually pay attention to?

Calm the Hell @calmthehell.bsky.social · 05/04/2025
I'll be honest: I think protests are completely ineffective at changing the system, but good for protests feeling like they are venting. To make protests effective, they need strategic pairing with further actions.

Lewis Carroll's 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. "Off with their heads!" — The Queen of Hearts, demanding executions for nearly every offense, no matter how minor (or in this case major)!

What the hell happened to America? You put a convicted felon, a draft-dodging casino bankrupter in charge — a guy whose resume reads like a parody of failure — and just let him wreck shit like a toddler in a china shop. And what do we do? Just doomscrolling while the country falls apart.
What the fuck happened to America, huh? Seriously — what happened?! This place used to have a little backbone, a little grit, a little "go fuck yourself" energy. Now? It's a goddamn festival of spineless pussies walking around worried if their Amazon order's late. You let a two-bit huckster, a convicted felon, draft-dodging, game show reject whose greatest accomplishment was bankrupting a casino — A FUCKING CASINO! You ever heard of that? That’s like drowning in a kiddie pool with floaties on!

And then — THEN — you let this guy run the country like a toddler in a china shop! Just yanking levers, smashing shit, tweeting from the toilet at 3 AM. No adult supervision! Just orange chaos in a suit! And what do we do? NOTHING! We just sit there, doomscrolling with one hand while door-dashing overpriced Thai food with the other!

“Uh, I don’t know what we can do.” YOU STRIKE, YOU JACKASSES! You stop buying shit, you sink the goddamn economy until these billionaire overlords shit their Patagonia boxers! You think they care if you’re suffering? They’re on yachts off Mykonos playing God with your pension fund.

Life is already a shitshow, alright? But now you gotta wake up every morning with anxiety about the IRS, veterans, Social Security, measles outbreaks?! THE FUCKING MEASLES are back! What is this, 1910?! And don’t even get me started on the goddamn Post Office — which, by the way, WORKS! Have you seen what those workers go through? Freezing cold, pit bulls, junk mail that weighs 40 pounds — and they do it for peanuts! They can’t even live near their jobs anymore because every square inch of urban land has been bought by some crypto bro in a hedge fund suit jacking up the rent from Bali.

And meanwhile these luxury condos pop up like herpes on a college campus — half-empty, but “sold.” Yeah, sold to WHO? Some LLC out of Dubai? Oh yeah, that’ll help the local school district.
So lemme tell ya something — America is fucked — but more importantly, YOU did it. Yeah, you. Wi…

Grassley-Cantwell is a partial fix—it slows the president down and adds oversight, but still allows 60 days of unilateral disruption. The “Stronger Alternative” approach would shift full tariff authority back to Congress, as originally intended under the Constitution's Commerce Clause.
