Google told me I can just make the soup anyways since it's my own blood so crisis averted.

I miss when all I saw were my friends posts. It seems I'm being forced to consume a lot of random influencer stuff and news I never really asked to see. 🫠

Don't get me wrong, this trail tested me (nearly cried a few times with how hard it was) but I feel SOO GOOD now.

Going 8 days with no internet or connectivity probably forced a reset on me, from all levels (work, news, etc). Granted... I can't recommend this for everyone as we had to do a lot of prep and you can't just go hang out in the forest with zero training.

I've been doing some thinking and it seems there was a correlation between the bump in my mental health and my long hike. I truly wonder if news on social media is hitting us harder than we think? During that time I missed my friends dearly, but didn't miss knowing about all the bad happening.

Welp I went a full year without a flu/cold and somehow got hit with one now. 🫠 After already being sickly last week from a medical appointment now I'm SICKLY AGAIN.

Alright fun fact about me, I've flown a plane before so I decided to get an alternative fursona made named Maple, who is an Evektor Sports Star (the plane I actually flew)! I've always loved the Plane Characters I've seen. Sketch by the lovely traumatizeart.carrd.co [ #furry ] [ #fursona ]

I want to get back to Confuror! And also make one or two cons in Europe eventually. I'm boycotting US travel right now so nothing there for the near future.

I'm also iffy with FE... It was a bit hard last year being anxiety about running into people.

In other news my boyfriend found a restaurant that just serves baked potatoes.

Am I still hella salty about the passive aggressive incident earlier. 100%.

020

ᴄᴀʟʟʏ 🍁 @callykitty.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

My therapist just told me people being passive aggressive to me shuts me down - so to be my friend I need you to be direct with me or else I'll spiral into a panic attack lmfao.

Yes do send if you find!! I need to take a few more mixed-track courses but once I'm comfy I'll go to lil events.

NYOOM NYOOM We are casually on the lookout for a pre-2007 Impreza so I don't have to keep renting cars for these courses.

Spamming today - but my driving instructor is planning a PRIVATE event to teach me better drifting at the harder course (I had signed up to a general one) because I show good promise/skill at rally driving. Also that there aren't enough girls in Motorsports. ✌️

I've started combining this with a more painterly / less intense lighting style - so I can render a bit better. But I am planning to explore more harsh lighting again soon!

020

ᴄᴀʟʟʏ 🍁 @callykitty.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

FYI I do most of my shading using a dark layer on top, the lasso tool to cut out shapes and a low opacity eraser to erase the shapes. I started this "style" I guess a while back (12 years ago??) then took a good 6-7 year break. I'm back to perfecting it again. Anyways enjoy 2013 art.

Alright went a bit out of my comfort zone here since I usually don't draw primates, but I recently got Blade redesigned from a cat to a Macaque so I wanted to give it a try. [ #furry ] [ #furryart ] [ #monkey ] [ #digitalart ] [ #art ]

100%, It was also this "I'm better than you" attitude some of these people had towards literal children that gross me out. Let them have fun.

Like I have so much shit I have to do in life, and all I want is to treat young artists nicely? Anyone with time and energy to put down kids online is ... Something wrong with u.

150

ᴄᴀʟʟʏ 🍁 @callykitty.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Know what's wild to me? When I was a teenager on DeviantArt back in the day I had full ADULTS making fun of me and my friends for drawing sparkle dogs. As an adult now, what type of loser do you have to be to make fun of kids who are like 15 doing art online lol?

Alright I had NO clue how badly my mental health was affecting nearly every part of my life. I'm actually LEARNING shit again at work. Weird. From January to Mid-August I was basically just surviving with minimal energy for anything else. Lesson, work to fix things and life is better?

Fun thing about this, subsequent times I've been minorly impaled have now resulted in me fainting. Unsure if related.
