My son & DIL are going to a black tie formal wedding in November. I used to sew all my daughter’s formals in high school so volunteered to make my DIL’s dress. I think it looks pretty good. Don’t look at my messy craft room. 😉

My wonderful mother-in-law passed away in June. I asked her 6 grandkids if they’d like a quilt made from her clothes. They all said yes. With me, hubby, BIL & SIL that is 10 quilts. I’m in self-imposed sweatshop & loving it. 6 more to go! Finished cookbook with her recipes, too.

Happy note-I put up & froze 80 oz of peaches. I have 80+ oz more to go. Have 6 lbs of apples to put up & freeze. I make fruit wine with it. This is apple wine and the dark is blackberry/cherry wine. 🍷 Raise a glass!

I finished the quilt for my family member that served 25 yrs in military & worked for VA for 20 yrs only to pretty much be told to retire by new admin. Blocks don’t match on purpose to signify all the people he met, worked with & helped during his career. Retirement party in June!

I feel like making or buying wristbands with spikes is a good idea for personal protection - just a thought! You can do some damage with flailing limbs striking someone as you defend yourself.

Just finished this quilt for step granddaughter. It’s not perfect & in some cases it’s on purpose. She expects perfection or gives up. Going to write her a letter to go with it explaining nothing is perfect but the journey & people in our lives are most important. Hope she likes it & ltr hits mark.

Good for you!!! My tattoos are for my daughter who is a recovering drug addict/alcoholic. I have “hope” tattooed on inside left wrist as a reminder not to judge, just give hope. The other is bigger on inside of my left bicep.💪🏻 She has the same on her bicep. We created it together. She’s still sober!
